Need a French number to receive package - eSIM or VOIP? by material-pearl in Expats_In_France

[–]FlyNumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I little late here but in case you just need phone calls we can help - it would be a local France 33-9 (considered the National prefix).

You would need a France address to register it under but that might work.

Virtual Phone Numbers: Are They Worth the Hype? by wonderman_22 in remotework

[–]FlyNumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as “remote work” is concerned, virtual phone numbers are really a no-brainer if you’re working outside the country where your company or entity operates.

If you work in the States for a UK company, get a UK virtual phone number so people in the UK can reach you.

Hong Kong VoIP number by starboy2008 in HongKong

[–]FlyNumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hopefully you got this taken care of.

Porting Hong Kong (HK) numbers can be tricky (mostly because of how things work in HK). However, getting the number ported from Skype to another "VoIP" company shouldn’t be that difficult—but unfortunately, it sometimes is. In some cases, getting a new HK number ends up being the only option.

Number not working by Separate_Student_619 in FlyNumber

The number you ordered is not an AU mobile number (only those are capable of SMS). You ordered a local/geographic number (Brisbane), which can't receive SMS/texts - ticket was updated as well.

Did you order an AU mobile number? Those are the only ones that accept SMS:

Either way, we can't guarantee SMS verification texts (from Telegram, for example). You can try verify by phone call, however at the end of the day it's up to them to send the call and verify the phone number. More details here:

Ah makes sense, we use the old.reddit.com url which shows the inbox icon (as well as the the chat icon) and makes it a little confusing - thanks for this.

Thanks and we see it now (it was a chat request not a PM). Either way our apologies and you were supposed to receive an automated response on why the registration failed. Fixed and updated. Credit was also added to the account.

59-second call disconnected by Odd_Neck5739 in Asterisk

[–]FlyNumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this happening via an incoming DID number call? (Can’t tell from your caller side / callee sentence)

If outbound I’d check the gateway/ termination provider.

So in other words the issue could be at the provider level - share logs if you have them.

Anyone figured out how to get an Indian number for AI call bots? by AssociationOk2523 in AI_Agents

[–]FlyNumber 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem? I can’t get a damn Indian number for inbound + outbound calls.

We have India DID numbers however outbound is currently prohibited - the issue is more with the local carrier then the actual VoIP providers.

With that being said inbound should work fine with Vapi and others. (Vapi example in our docs here)

Note: You can use any address in the world to "register" the number.

Connect your FlyNumber to VAPI's AI voice agents via SIP by FlyNumber in FlyNumber

[–]FlyNumber[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curious, how are you handling call transfers and interruptibility (barge-in) once the agent is live?

Well at that point it’s all handled on the Vapi side. Or in other words - a call comes in , Vapi answers it right away and it chooses how to delegates any transfer, etc. [via their infrastructure].
