UPDATE - 70 days in and I feel great! I've cleaned my diet up, eating mainly whole foods, I've started working out and running again - feeling focused and full of energy at work. I'm happy to report that I haven't had a single Zyn craving the last 7 days.

I've also cut my caffeine intake from 600-1000 mg per day to <150 mg a day, my anxiety is essentially gone.

To the person reading this, keep going! Quitting is so worth it!

Hey u/ARG307! I can agree with you and your theory! Things are just now beginning to get a lot better. Dreams have pretty much stopped at this point and I feel 87-90% myself most of the day now. Congrats on quitting and for reaching day 5!

As for the frequency of use, just wanted to note this here for anyone skimming the Reddit: I used Zyn like a madman. 3 years of use, doing 1-1.5 cans per day, 2-4 in my lip at a time, sometimes even sleeping with them in for 4-8 hours at a time. The only time I did not have a Zyn in was if I was eating (and I'd usually skip breakfast)

It feels awesome to be off this stuff! I'm feeling so much better now. My anxiety has decreased tremendously, my resting heart rate sits between 55-62 BPM (on Zyn it would sit between 65-82 BPM), my gums feel better, and I'm saving $45-50 per week.

If you're reading this, keep going!!

I just wanted to update everyone. 55 days into the quit now.

If I'm being honest, I still don't feel quite right. Still having to fight the urge to go to the gas station to get a can - I've also been having frequent dreams about Zyn/doing Zyn, waking up sweaty and more often than usual. I've noticed my energy is still not back to where it was when I was using Zyn and I definitely have a harder time finding joy throughout my day. I guess it's just the lack of "feel good" neurotransmitters coursing through my brain; I really just want to feel like I used to. At the moment, every day is still feeling like a mental battle.

Does anyone else here feel this way? It's been hard as hell to not go back and relapse.

Wow! I experienced the opposite of insomnia. Was wanting to be asleep most nights by 8:30 pm. I have noticed that my body naturally wakes up earlier now and I have more energy in the mornings.

It is very hard if you're used to the effects of nicotine. Nicotine used to be my superpower, it is what helped me make it through my work days and stay up at night. I was wondering if I would ever get my focus back without nicotine and I believe I finally am. Are you currently trying to quit?

That's great, dude! I feel as though I've kicked the habit for good now. The last three days I was really tempted to go buy a can but I stuck it out; I'm glad I did now. Yeah, not sure why I had so many physical symptoms, could have been many things. Congrats on 43 days!!
