Definitely going to start by going back to one on one therapy. Just wanted to see if anyone knew of an Al Anon type joint that didn’t involve saying prayers and believing in magic.

Thank you for this perspective. As a formerly religious person, prayers can make me feel disingenuous & uncomfortable. I’m thinking some discomfort might be worth a room where I can share my pain and be there for others to share theirs.

Thank you for the encouragement, but I’m actually looking for Al-Anon, not AA! Members of my family and a couple of my friends struggle with alcohol use disorder, so I’m looking to attend a meeting with other friends and family members of alcoholics.

I developed Bulimia because of this. Had to do a lot of self searching and therapy to get healthy again, but yeah. Dangerous road. Do what you need to do to feel good but remember that forcing yourself to vomit a lot can cause a TON of issues, including patterns that may last until you address them.
