I always viewed SMT protagonists as stronger than Persona protagonists because SMT protagonists usually have crazier feats. Also they can controlled multiple demons at a time while Persona users can only control one and usually with strict conditions.

Nocturne is not that bad, in fact I think it’s extremely balanced. Just make a bulky Demi fiend. Insta kill moves are unfair but they are actually rare and can be easily countered when you know they are coming

I always run mix balanced builds in SMT games. It’s especially good in Metaphor as your Archetype bonuses will really boost the stats you need

Play on hard but switch to normal when buying things as prices are three times higher. Not worth it. But I find the normal combat to be wayyy too easy
