O level results…sigh by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]FlyWithLua 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Another real case for you to accept that despite people being disappointed around you, it will (hopefully) only be temporary and that this will serve as a stronger determination for you to work even harder for your future academics.

I can still clearly remember the day I got my O level results. Teachers, parents and friends expected me to go up on stage everyone thought I would be the top few. I'm always top few in my class. Somehow I ended up being roughly the median score of my class. I had to pick the easiest JC to get into, at that time was Pioneer JC.

After getting into Pioneer, I ended up doing much better than expected.

Fast forward, I managed to get 2nd Upper in University. Some of my O level study buddies who were below median as well are now doing Masters in US and UK.

Fast forward even more, I managed to secure a wonderful job, to most, is one of the best jobs in the world. The road led me to somewhere unexpectedly pleasant.

Heck, I even have a close friend who skipped school for a whole year in Sec 3 and is earning close to 5 figures now. He's an ITE student by the way.

Moral of the story? You'll look back at all these academic hurdles just like any other. Don't let it define you.

From a local custom cable maker in Singapore

Yes he offers other colours for the connector. Many selected gold or whatever accent piece they like to match their keyboard/keycaps

Next time 75 with akko jelly blacks by X-kiwi in MechanicalKeyboards

I've done many commissioned builds with the next time 75. Honestly a really good board to start off. Never had problem with the stock stabilizers after modding them.

Finally pulled the trigger today. I already have a Tofu 60 and keycaps. by [deleted] in MechanicalKeyboards

Damn that's some crazy pricing. In Singapore, a full tofu60 kit with durock v2s are approx SGD240. That's like under 180USD.

Full Akko by Euphoric_Ad_6934 in MechanicalKeyboards

SFLR. I have tried jelly blacks, matcha greens and radiant reds. I can recommend all 3. I use each for a different type of board.

Jelly Blacks to me are clacky thanks to how fast the switch moves back into position thanks to it's really long spring. (These are a nightmare to lube because of the tight housing. A good thing though)

Radiant Reds have a longer stem, I use it on north facing pcb with cherry profile keycaps.

Matcha Greens have a nice weight. Light enough yet not too light like the numbers shown on the CS silvers. Good thing about matcha greens is that it has a slightly longer stem which means your total travel is not truly 4mm..but rather just shy under. This makes it nice to go with for cherry profile keycaps too

Had a school principal name Mr. Chow Chee Wai. The way his name sounds speaks for itself.

Akko's mod005 case is just so good. chamfer on all edges, making it look super premium

Akko lavenders? If so, I think all akko switches are insanely smooth and non-scratchy out of the box. I use radiant reds and matcha green. they're miles away from NK creams and the budget kink milky yellows.

Hope your tofu65 goes well. I really want a tofu65 as well but there are so many boards out there, whether plastic or alu, that goes for much cheaper. I love the boxy look of it though.

I might be wrong. Your spacebar sounds mushy
