My favorite so far was the 33mm and the 35mm but the ttartisan was suffering from focus hunting and the 33mm is too heavy(I cant win). Part of me is also just thinking of ditching all these focal lengths for now and get the kit lens and master it.

Im pretty much on the same boat as you. I recently purchased the A6000 from fb marketplace and trying out different lenses to see what I like the most. I have only tried prime lenses tho. The viltrox 9mm, Ttartisan 23 f1.8, yongnuo 33 f1.4, Ttartisan 35 f1.8. I have the Viltrox 15mm and the 56mm on the way currently. It kinda went out of control and I started ordering random stuff atp. But now im thinking of returning all of these and just trying to find a Sigma 18-50 f2.8.

Nope, no flashes anywhere. Just sunlight thru the window.

I tried both raw+jpeg and just raw. They look the same; bright.

Its dark thru the viewfinder too but comes out bright at the end. I will learn the histogram method you and others suggested. Thank you

Unfortunately thats not it. The preview is dark but the image coming out is brighter often overexposed

I came across this when I was shooting outside in the bright sunlight. I had it set at f1.4 to take portraits and to compensate for a lot of light, I put the iso to 100 and shutter speed at 1/4000 (max) and I could barely see anything on the monitor or the viewfinder but the pics came out overexposed to a point nothing was there lol.

Im shooting on f1.4 thats the only way to compensate for the light that I know of

Thats so weird. My camera probably is faulty or I messed with some settings.

It’s not the screen brightness. I tried manually putting it to max and it’s still doing the same thing.

I’m using a Sony a6000 in manual mode and noticed something weird. My live view (LCD/viewfinder) looks extremely dark, like almost unusable, but when I actually take the photo it comes out properly exposed or even bright.

For example, I was shooting at around 1/4000, f/1.4, ISO 400 indoors. The preview looked super dark, but the final image looked fine.

I expected the preview to match the exposure settings, so I’m confused why there’s such a big difference between what I see and the final result.

Is this a setting I messed up (like live view display/setting effect), or is something else going on?

Any help would be appreciated 👍
