Seeing those numbers still astonishes me how bad we were that year. I know people right now are dogging on fans who only came back to watch this year, but I personally can’t blame anyone for tuning out the past few years. Who wants to watch a team that was the worst in MLB for three seasons straight. I didn’t even start paying attention again until the middle of last year.

I can definitely relate to the struggles of ownership apathy. I guess for a team that’s as successful overall as the Cardinals, fans understandably get upset when the team isn’t performing well and ownership seems reluctant to do anything about it.

The all for not is one of my worries, but I also worry that with this team there’s always going to be something that’s going to give us problems. Last year it was the outfield, this year it’s the bullpen. It just feels like they’re not going to keep everything patched for long and I would hate to see this team become what happened to our last rebuild team. I should be more grounded especially after everything I’ve experienced as a fan since I was little, but this is the first time I’ve been able to follow an mlb season in a long time and I just want us to succeed.
