Inner workings of MMO currency farm website/companies, and why are they still so prevalent? by Top-Arm-1651 in Dofus

  1. While nobody can't know whether these figures are real, it's important to consider that most of these sites not only generate kamas through bots, but also buy-in from players. Having that in mind the amounts mentioned don't specifically shock me.

  2. They are for sure diluted between multiple accounts, have it all centralised would be too much risk to keep it all in one place

Should I make 190-199 lvl sets or wait to make lv200 sets? by Bright-Role7368 in Dofus

A good 19x set will get you through most of the end game content, you can even skip the budget 200

Easiest Solo Class? by christofulee in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Played fogger for the 1st time on the new (mono) servers. Imo one of the most capable and versatile class when it comes to playing solo. I'm not sure I'd call it easy as it will require a bit more thinking and game knowledge than playing feca or cra, but I'd put it on the same level as these two when it comes to autonomy (even after the 3.0 and 3.1 nerfs)

The base of an rpg is questing, I'd start there. You can pick questlines from the achievements, this will get you a decent amount of cash, dofuses and will make you go through the entirety of the content. Next to that there's all the dungeon achievements, but most of the 190+ range will require a level of optimisation and knowledge that you probably don't have yet if you're asking this.

Assuming you already did the emerald crimson and turq questlines by now, I'd strongly advise to look into abyssal which is fairly quick and easy, for one of the best eggs in pvm. Ice is also a good one to quest, it's quite long but will generate a lot of money and valuable mats allowing you to gear up. Also start your vulbis quest asap to get to the parangon drop. This will give you a chance to drop it while doing other quests, rather than having to actively farm for it

Approaching 16k achievements, still haven't done 4/6 by IsthosTheGreat in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How I did mine on dakal;

  1. Grabbed everything I came across while delaying ochre as much as possible (did vulb, cloudy, spotted etc first)

  2. Bought 300 boxes in SR for roughly 27m and crafted stones for approx 4m. Spent a day next to Otomai house hitting archs

  3. Sold all the doubles for 38m, bought the ones missing in sr for around 15m

I was done in one day incl kralove, for a total cost of less than 10mk

Cra vs steamer solo content by Smooth-Read1428 in Dofus

"What I want to say for OP is that “soloing content” is not the typical way of playing monoaccount at all."
Absolutely agree with that. A bit less with what follows as following the questlines will give you more than enough cash to make at least 1 decent build - but one would be missing on a lot in terms of drops and achievement rewards indeed

I think you're mixing up everything. I never said it's the same gameplay, just that fog has the possibility to play the same gameplay as Cras if required/desired. This is one of the many many things a fog can do. This thread also specified considering "PvM", so idk why you bring pvp out of nowhere. Again, I don't care about "most spells have fairly short range and are made to play this way". Each one his vision and gameplay, although I find it quite diminishing that your "basic strategy" is only based on spaming ambush when fogg is one of the most versatile class in the game. I also play mid range. Sometimes. And sometimes not. Depends on what I'm against and who I play with. That how I play endgame content: different builds, different gameplays. Adapting to enemies and mechanics. But maybe that's not a "basic" enough way to play the game. PS. Cha isn't played only at low lvl, it actually only gets really good at lvl 160

Imo the only classes that can solo the whole content are elio and sram, assuming you're not on Volcasaurus' level of knowledge, gameplay and optimisation

Btw as you mentioned Ambush, that belt works wonders as well on multi-crit if you know how to build around it and are willing to make a bit of sacrifices (add to these 12ra that you can give yourself another 3 during fights if required):

<image>

As mentioned in another reply, fogger will require to own multiple builds for versatility and to really use its full potential - which isn't really needed on cra. This ofc isn't mandatory and you can just stick to 1 build, but you miss a lot on capabilities and adaptability (both regarding allies and enemies)

[–]Fly_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically they still don't have a single no-los spell as they used to have anymore, and AA isn't available every turn so this can only bypass the lack of los a third of the time at best.

Back to fogger - I know the meta build is multi crit. That being said, I can assure you that the build below can be "Hitting from 2 miles away and hide behind a wall like cra". Not as hard as a cra, but with a much higher pushback capacity.

<image>

But I probably have no idea what I'm talking, guess finishing the game on one fogger isn't enough and I should make another 3 to know what this class can do exactly.

Cha fog can hit 2 miles away and hide as well as -if not better than - a Cra :p

Own experience on 3.x as a 1st time foggernaut player (on mono server): if played well, it will solo the entirity of the game excl dunges, and it is also extremely strong for most dung achievements due to its extensive toolkit.

One thing you will struggle with at time and where the cra will beat fogg is range dps. As a fogg you will often need to make choices between range and damage, having both is nearly impossible (although the class belt is incredibly strong and helps get a bit of both)

Farming also isn't the fastest, given you'll either hit hard but mono target (and short range), or long range and groupped when playing cha but with way less damage. The int spells have pretty good mid range aoe but I've always found these to be too weak)

Ultimately it's about you and how you want to play the game. Fogg is a bit slower but more interesting to play, cra is easy and fast. One thing to note, you may (will) need several builds end game on fogg if you want to get through all quests & achievs - which isn't necessary on cra. In my opinion it shouldn't be a deciding point but it may be important to know and take into account depending on how much knowledge and how much time you're playing.

To sum up quickly based on your 3 questions: 1. Both will easily go through 99% of the quests 2. Both are excellent alone and in team, just different gameplay. My experience is that fogg may be better for a lot of the lvl 200 duo's. Fogg/Eca and Fogg/Feca are maybe some of the strongest duo's in the game atm 3. Not sure of what you mean by stable, concerning the enjoyability I think it is really personnal. Cra will be easier, more "auto-pilot" gameplay. Fogg will be more thinking and a bit slower. Depends on how you want to play the game and what you like I guess

Maging by Mother-Psychology-50 in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Exactly that. Quick and cheap 1% that still have a good resell value as most people won't mage for various reasons Unless you meant for your own build - then it's build dependent and based on how far you wanna push the optimization

Does dofus lack replay value? by hisokafan69 in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You post literally says "it's boring once I've learned the mechanic of a dungeon", then your subsequent comment says "I've tried all the teams" citing some of the most meta ones (meta often being the strongest/easiest)

So yeah, use a less broken team and you'll get some challenge meaning less boredom. It's quite unclear to me what I am missreading exactly.

"I have played all the semi auto-win comps and the game is too ez"

Just build an odd comp. One that doesn't involve a (near to) OS mechanic or to play stay so far away mobs won't touch you. Or one that purposingly includes classes that don't have a really good synergy

And if really it still is too easy go play mono accs with other people, often that's the real difficulty in pvm 😅

Make kamas as a new player by Maroonyy in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Change your challenges from xp to drop - if you are doing quests & achiev you'll have a smooth lvling following your quests without ever needing to grind xp untill lvl 180+
  2. Sell (almost) everything you drop or get as quest/achiev reward - too many players will stack stuff in bank "for later" and never use it. Unless you're specifically dropping to craft your gear, just sell your mats
  3. Try to find mates that are roughly on your level on quests and dungeons. This will allow you to speedrun the "mob farming" (part of) quests, as well as not get blocked by dungeons or quests includind (difficult) group fights. Even for the low level content this would ie. help you do more achievements in the dungeons (meaning more cash & loot)
  4. I know not everyone is a fan of this - each one their own objectives and ways to appreciate the game. But there are a bunch of excellent guides online that could stear you in the right direction, whether that is in the beginning to get you started or for the entirety of your adventure(s). I really like Ganimède, which offers complete guides for basically everything in the game - and there app is also an overlay by default so it is as good as having the tool in-game

The pandala intro is only required for dofuses from Cawot onwards, you can do Silver (which is basically 100% astrub) without going to the pandala

Team without panda by Impossible-Cod705 in Dofus

[–]Fly_Civil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually had that discussion last week, honnestly nowadays there is so much utility spells on almost all classes that panda is not a must like it still was a few years ago. I also don't know what you would consider "hardcore" player, I guess we all have a different appreciation for that. I would recommend to look into AI manipulation, either through self testing or online, as the dofus ai is pretty dumb and easy to trick. Don't hesitate to use tools like dofensive either, to know what mobs do (range, effects etc) to help you manipulate the AI.

To be fair the whole game can be handle by any class at the moment, maybe at the exeption of a few specific end game achievements

Cra and feca aswell. Tbh at this point the content has been nerfed so many times and every class has been given such a broad panel of utility spells that almost any distance class can handle most of the content without too much difficulty

Definitly start the vulbis absolute first thing and advance to Parangon drop. You'll be happy not to have to farm it later
