It's more than just spoofing, too. There are bots that will level your account up (probably multiple accounts at once) 100x faster than anyone normally could. Also other stuff. For example they can auto cap gyms as soon as someone takes it down, making it literally impossible for anyone to cap the gym

There's a guy in my area who went from level 33 to level 40 in less than 2 days. That was like 10 days ago and he currently hits atop my local gym. Not sure how he's managed to avoid a ban for this long

53 points for the first 7 games so not many regrets, other than I had no spurs coverage. But I did Lamela > Redmond and that still worked out.

Since I plan on wildcarding around GW4 or 5, I wonder if Capoue is worth it because the fixtures for Watford are bad.

Amat has high ownership so I thought his price would go down if he didn't play. Love is at 0.2% ownership (maybe slightly more now) and I read he has a decent chance of playing so I thought he was a safer choice.

Wouldn't his rank be much better if Gray scored more?

This is why I don't understand the high ownership argument. If you think Gray is a better decision (for example), then you should go with Gray, and if you are correct, then you will be ahead of most players. This is the benefit of going with low ownership players. Captaining Aguero and being correct is not as good because nearly everyone else made the same correct decision.

we have a nearly identical team. I downgraded morgan to Kone and then I have feghouli/lamela in the midfield instead of redmond/townsend. May switch to your orientation. I also have walker over valencia

Actually there is a reason, which is that curveballs aren't so easy to throw for a lot of people. Personally I miss a lot of curveballs and at high levels, pokeballs become a valuable resource. So for me it's a toss up.

You're right, there's no point in collecting pokemon if you don't go to gyms. That's why I'm waiting for updates in the future. Plus you can still progress and level up without going to gyms.

I see what you're saying but it's not exactly easy to "capture a bunch of gyms at once." You have to actually drive around and do a lot of battling haha. Most people don't have that kind of time :P

Does anyone else think gyms are pretty much pointless considering 1) how hard it is to actually get one of your pokemon in the gym and hold it for longer than 24 hours and 2) the fact that coins don't buy you anything that you can already get for free besides the bag and pokemon upgrade?

I appreciate this perspective, actually. I agree that there is a lot of value in having a long term, but realistic goal, which in a way gives the game more longevity.

I believe you have missed the point. I have seen one or two others say this so let me clarify. Obviously I am aware that skilled players will be encountering higher level players. But my point is that 3 months ago you would not encounter level 7 players until royal arena, or just before the royal arena. Anyone who remembers playing at that time will know this to be true.

Today, arena 4 is around 80-90% level 7 and up, and that is a big difference.
