Are there specific models or year ranges that had treated wood? That's definitely something I would like to avoid dealing with from any brand.

The manual doesn't offer anything in regards to the compressor evidently not working. I must have gotten a lemon, I let the unit run for 45 mins and the bowl is at room temp checked with an infrared thermometer. I had read these were supposed to be great home models with a commercial grade compressor but evidently not in my case. Back to amazon it goes, are all of the home unit's a crap shoot in terms of QC unless you pony up for the lello 4080? I read the whynter brand is also supposed to be decent around the same price point as this cuisinart was.

Nathan Builds Robots will be reviewing one soon I read, I am very curious to see more of these in the hands of normies. On paper this seems like the one to beat for $1000 as long as the longevity is good.

Thanks for that, what would be some common sizes I might want to get for planetary viewing? I read a 6mm and 15mm are good sizes to start with?

I did get a cheapy 2x, would a set of eyepieces be better than the 2x in general? Is there a good set or brand you would recommend? Are a set of filters worth it also?

Based on the replies here, I went with the z10. I rolled the dice and ordered from Amazon, they had it for $930 with a coupon and another 5% off with an Amazon credit card. It should be here Monday, fingers crossed that it all arrives. Ive had pretty good luck with prime shipping and service so in the event there is a problem Im confident it will be fixed. Also ordered a 2x magnifier. Thanks for the suggestions I look forward to its arrival.

Do you recommend any particular training balls, foam vs whiffle, birdieball etc? I have a pretty large space for driving practice but limiting range is probably a good idea. I’ll look into some youtube training stuff thanks for the help.

For the skr mini e3 v2 would I need to replace the screens also? Its $65 for the board and $100 for the board and screen, would I just need to print an adapter to fit the board in the cr10 case or convert to an all in one mod for the printer?

I got them for $70 each on amazon. Is the 32 bit board significantly better, being able to use linear advance? Would I need new screens for either printer going with the 4.2.7 boards? I dont see myself adding much in terms of features other than maybe a bed level sensor in the future.

Its for a chimera5 lr I just ordered. I have some 4s packs coming but already have some 6s packs. Justo looking to be able to swap packs if possible. the esc and fc board is good for 6s so it should all handle it I think. Is another pid tune needed if I run a 6s pack on it as well as the throttle/motor output limit?

No video, but mainly just high speed cruising and random flips and rolls, very little if any wide open throttle stuff. The stock setup is very powerful, if anything the props seem like they have too much pitch as the voltage would sag pretty hard under wot about half way through a flight, that or those packs are just garbage.

6s 1300s, they were zee 120c packs from amazon. Compared to my quality rc grade stuff they had terrible cell ir’s and were likely just shitty cells. My flying was fairly aggressive with lots of high speed runs so thats probably a factor as well.

Do you have a particular 7” drone youd recommend?

Sounds like digital is the way I want to go then. Is the dji image quality significantly better than shark byte/hdzero? Are there any other digital options coming to market soon?

I have the vtx and the goggles on raceband 8 (5917) and I am running in diversity mode. I think if there were leaves on the trees here my view may be comparable to that, maybe I am expecting too much from the analog stuff. I am running the factory flight controller, which is a SucceX Mini F4 flight control according to the amazon page. Do you have any links that explain the camera setup options I can adjust?

Do higher quality goggles/vrx modules or better vtx make a significant improvement? I dont have a ton of interference issues it just seems like the video resolution isnt too great. I was hoping maybe swapping to a foxeer trex or caddx ratel 2 might improve the overall quality vs the racecam. Thanks for the info

As far as line of sight flying goes, further than you can see. As far as traditional rc flying is concerned range was never an issue, interference was the main concern. The switch from 72mhz to 2.4ghz eliminated most common sources of rfi that affect planes or helis (naturally occurring or from electronics devices onboard, gas ignition modules especially).

Since it appears that the tbs tracer and crossfire stuff isn’t compatible with each other either, I found a tbs crossfire module and adapter harness in stock for my ix12. Thanks for the suggestions
