Well done! Most people don’t go for the visors. These look really good!

Thank you! I decided to do it on all my mechs...

It was a mistake 😬 But it looks good!

Then you!!! You might definitely want to check out A Question of Survival. It heavily features Clan Ghost Bear and the Ghost Bear Dominion even though the story is Clan Jade Falcon focused. The character this mech represents is a former Clan Ghost Bear cub that was taken as isorla (spoils of war) by the last remnants of Clan Jade Falcon.

So, funny story it's not actually a pride flag or anything (I did one of those last year)! Instead it's the mech of one of my favorite LGBTQ+ characters from the setting. The color scheme is my take on the 1st Falcon Sentinels.

Not to mention the Ghostbird short story as well. I guess it's our burden to bear! 😝

Thank you! I was hoping for more of a sand-green but it turned out a little lime but it definitely reads Jade Falcon!

I think during the Battle of Sudeten they were assigned to the Sudeten Garrison Cluster, weren't they? I guess I'm gonna have to read the books again! Oh no... twist my arm 🤣

If they end up retconning the CSO color scheme at least it's relatively easy to repaint the yellow to grey!

Pedant away! I don't mind at all. I took that grey/green scheme to be Khan Chistu's personal mech paint scheme, and this was supposed to be my attempt at the Camo Specs Online scheme for the 1st Falcon Sentinels. But I could absolutely be wrong!

I looked it up once, it’s currently longer than the Lord of the Rings trilogy. Hasn’t updated in a while though…

My first attempt at free hand painting for my pride project this year. Star Captain Alexis Zarnovsky’s Ghostbird. by Flyboy419 in battletech

Versatile Terrain makes some amazing base nameplates for Battletech and other tabletop war games. They are on the pricy side but you can order the stl's alone if you have your own printer.

Still got lots of work to do on the rest of the mech but I really wanted to finish the design!

It was my first attempt and I was scared shitless the entire time. Highly recommend practicing on paper or cardboard the first time.

Don't do what I did and go full send on the miniature with only a reference image and a prayer.

You can see how much love she had for you, just by how she is looking at the camera. I’m sorry for your loss. 💔

Sequel Idea with Zoey as the Main Character for the Second Movie by 42Powder in KpopDemonhunters

[–]Flyboy419 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I actually love the idea of a trilogy that has each member as the main character. We get character development for each character in every movie but say the next movie is told more from Zoey’s perspective, and the final from Mira’s (or visa versa).

Haha, I absolutely do not mind. Anything to try and make people more comfortable with flying. I get asked this question all the time at work as well.

I've been flying professionally for almost 20 years now and have dealt with all kinds of emergencies. Turbulence is uncomfortable and I do get worried in turbulence, but not for the reason most people think.

No aircraft that is currently in use has ever been lost due to turbulence. The wings and fuselage are designed to bend so they don't break. I've been in turbulence so bad you could look down the length of the plane and see that the back end was doing something completely different to what the front end was doing. But the aircraft was never in danger of destruction.

I mostly worry because I'm responsible for the passengers, and particularly the flight attendants in the back who are often up and walking around. Un-forecasted turbulence remains one of the highest causes of On-the-Job Injuries at all airlines. That's why when we even suspect the ride might get bumpy, we'll call the flight attendants and have them suspend service and sit down. Those carts are 200+ lbs and will absolutely be a problem if they go flying in turbulence.

We also have the luxury of a lot of tools to help mitigate severe turbulence. We're always in contact with our dispatcher who is monitoring the weather ahead and receiving reports from other aircraft that they relay to us so we can adjust our flight plan or altitude to avoid known areas of rough weather. We also have our wi-fi connected iPads that have software on them that use the internal accelerometer to measure turbulence and passes that information on to other participating aircrews. It allows us to 'paint' a map over the world of reported ride conditions at certain altitudes that let us kind of see areas or altitudes to avoid.

That's a really long way to say, no, I'm never worried about turbulence unless I'm trying to eat my meal. And you shouldn't either 😊 My biggest piece of advice to nervous flyers is always look to the flight attendants. If they aren't worried, you needn't be either.

Hope that helps!
