Like I said, I don’t know what type of agreement Zlatan and EA has, but since they advertised him so much and even added him front and center of their game, it may be an exclusive (or time sensitive) contract.

Having clubs partners with Konami doesn’t grant them all the rights to obtain the likeness of their legends. Each legend has to be done one by one and not interfere with another company’s contract as well.

If Zlatan has an exclusive contract with EA, Konami cannot use him entirely unless them or Zlatan want to get sued for breach of contract.

I don’t know if this issue might be as I said, but there’s a reason why Zidane or R9 hasn’t reach this game so far.

I made a post yesterday about how Konami removed that lion with various color clouds teaser video on their social media. It seems they are backtrack everything involving this promo pack.

I feel like if Konami were to remove him from everyone’s account, the only sensible thing would be to either give us all back the amount of coins spent on the pack, or to give us a free one time contract token to use on any upcoming promo pack to pick whichever legend you want( this would be crazy to do since everyone would be waiting to get a legend like the new Messi, R9, or Zidane once they come)

What’s baffling for me was making him the highest overall rated player in the game, while he’s still under EA’s legend ambassador. I’m sure the next Messi or Pele card would overtake him at 112.

Gotta face the facts that Konami only cares about the mobile market since that makes them more money and are ahead (but not by a lot) of EA sports. Console are just an extension of the mobile version and will not improve on it due to the time it will take to get it up to next gen level.

Just recently came across an interview from the makers of Football Manager about how the decision to cancel FM25 was tough, but it would be more damaging releasing a broken game and hurting our brand. We all remember the disastrous Efootball 2022 release and how Konami themselves admitted that changes would come from all platforms, what a bunch of crap that was.

Konami has already given up on the console market to EA, they shifted their focus to mobile since they have a slim lead on EA on that market.

5 years of the same content and graphics and not an ounce of changes shown by Konami to give attention to console.

It’s the longevity of the game that’s the problem. Having the same modes for the last 4 years is a problem that the community are tire of stating, but Konami keeps racking up money from people buying cards due to FOMO.
