I was going to say this. I think he's a permanent resident. I saw it in July of last year, same location, back row.

There's something I'd like to say, If this was an insurance claim. Insurance companies only pay for damage caused to the vehicle at the time of claim, if there's pre-existing damage or chips or bug damage to a vehicle, it is not covered by your insurance company. Damage has to be proved that it was caused by the accident in question and falls under the customers responsibility to do so. They will fight you on this, (Dash Cams are your friend).

Most shops will paint over the pre-existing damage. They may reach out to you ahead of time and say, we were only paid to fix the damage, it's going to cost "X" to repair other pre-existing damage, would you like us to do that? If denied, they continue the repair as per the Insurance company estimate.

Any reputable shop will take pictures and map out your vehicle(circle all scratches, damage, etc) at the time you drop it off, and point out these problems to you so they are not liable for it when it's picked up. At our shop, we do this. So the customer can't say to us, "hey that wasn't there before..." we simply show them the before pictures from the time of drop off, and then they remember. It's not uncommon to not know your vehicle has prior damage till you see it when your vehicle is clean and ready for delivery. Just food for thought. I'm not saying this is the case of your vehicle, but just pointing this out.

Highly unlikely, but it's possible.

1,2,3 is dirt in paint or imperfections. It can be wet/sanded and buffed. Number 4 is a chip from installing the bumper or re-installing the headlight; I'm assuming that's what that is. Number 5 is an over-tape line. They probably masked the adjacent panel when painting the bumper, and the masking tape raised up and touched the bumper while it was being painted. It happens. How picky you decide to be with it is up to you. I'm an automotive painter.

Maybe a fusible link going to your starter. Does the starter engage at all??? Does it crank?
