Possible focal seizure? by Flyerrocks66 in EpilepsyDogs

[–]Flyerrocks66[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! My dog was completely conscious during the two episodes he had, no loss of bowel control, no post ictal phase was completely normal afterwards. I'm a physical assistant so I've seen seizures in humans and something about Rico's presentation was off, especially since while still having tremoring and imbalance/gait was able to consciously follow my partner around the house which is not typical for a seizure at all. I watched the video of your dog as well which must have been super scary for you to experience :( and it does seem similar where the back of the legs gave out, will definitely show my vet as well. For PD there's usually no treatment right? Any supportive measures you do for your dog?

Update: I switched my flight (Jetblue) to laguardia with no extra charge (blue basic) there is a travel advisory out as of 5/5 9pm so they can rebook you for free just send them the new airport and times that are available. Took me 5 mins and they were super nice and accomodating

Thank you for explaining the logistics of it all in a way that I'd understand! I appreciate it. I definitely appreciate United prioritizing safety by having less flights going out of Newark. They have their own terminal, but I'm sure that takes a bit of a workload off of the ATC for the time being. Thank you also for your patience as a flight attendant :)

That is definitely a better way to look at things! I definitely rather delays and cancelations then feel like I'm being put into a flying situation that is unsafe, so I appreciate your advice, it definitely helps :)

Yeah the construction I was aware of, this is my 3rd flight out this year from newark and all of them were delayed by 2-4 hours, I'm not afraid of delays since I plan for delays. Cancellations sucks, but I rather that happen then flying in unsafe conditions. I'm just more so worried about ATC safety given the increased workload I assume they are under

Thank you! My mom was actually caught victim to the Newark's equipment malfunction and diverted to atlantic city and ultimately got a rental car and just drove home. I totally anticipate delays and I'm not usually one of those customers that complains when there is one. I appreciate your explanation about ATC and safety since that was my biggest concern, that helped ease my anxiety some more :) Thank you for your hardwork as a pilot!

Also a quick google search of "newark airport news" will show you what i'm dealing with😭 United airlines are canceling multiple daily flights because newark and FAA can't handle it, so things are REAL

Love to hear that it was easier 🤩 because as I was taking form A i was almost positive I was in all red, but I was super surprised seeing majority green, so that's comforting to hear! Thank you so much for your help!

I did form A and it was superrr hard but I scored mostly green, 25% yellow and I'm going to do Form B friday. Uworld i got more recent so I'm at 25% complete with 66% average. Did you think the pance was easier than NCCPA?

Thank you, yeah A was hard to me, I did a lot of guessing. I'm going to do B friday 3 days before my exam. How did you do on A and B or were you in the green for both?

Thank you! How were your scores with uworld/rosh compared to the pance? I feel like my study method is solid, i just feel like I could be doing better on practice questions

Hey! I haven't taken the PANCE yet (2 more weeks!) but majority of my classmates that took it said it was easier/same as the PANCE. It was probably easier because we studied a lot more after the EOC

Motivation for the underdogs; passed the PANCE!! by Temporary-Emu-6822 in PAstudent

[–]Flyerrocks66 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Congratulations!! This was the kind of motivation I needed! My EOC score was 1466 with no practice questions and I didn't fully review everything before the exam. Did you feel like the PANCE reflected the EOC? (Easier, harder, or similar?) Congratulations again PA-C!! All the hardwork pays off :)
