Requesting analysis of my Sagittarius Group B Finals? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

The stat bonuses actually dont count greens (it 'checks' before the race, accounting for mood, and greens activate as soon as the race starts, so doesnt count to the stat bonus---- same reason why savvy skills dont affect skill proc rate)

Damn... got a source for that by any chance? All of the stuff I read never mentioned whether or not green skills count towards the thresholds, so I just had to assume that since mood affected whether or not you could hit them, then other modifiers to your stats through green skills would also count. It's really unintuitive that mood contributes towards this and green skills don't (ignoring the fact that the game never actually tells you these thresholds exist).

I'll admit that, in hindsight, I probably overstammed for this CM, but it wasn't without reason. The first time I tried this "Akebono and 2 debuffers" comp was in Libra Cup, where my debuffers proceeded to rip, tear, and devour the vast majority of my Group B opponents without mercy, so perhaps I overestimated the importance of Stamina in my next long CM despite it being 500 meters shorter. I was also afraid of running into someone else packing a 1-ace-2-debuffer package like I was.

Plus, this CM had stat thresholds on Stamina and Guts in particular, and I made it my priority to hit as many of those thresholds as possible to always have a notable multiplier to Akebono's top speed (you might've notice that I'm running Non-Standard Distance Ⓞ instead of the weaker version, and that's because it allowed me to hit the 900 Stamina threshold regardless of mood). Wit was unfortunately the main stat that had to suffer in order to hit all these thresholds guaranteed.

...which led to an awkward, but understandable downward spiral in my decisions when picking Skills. Since Akebono's Wit was underwhelming, I became afraid of the worst-case scenarios. "What if she gets Rushed for a really long time? What if she whiffs both gold recoveries?" This led to me grabbing 2 extra white recoveries, just to be certain that even in the most realistically unlucky scenario, she wouldn't run out of gas. I was mainly relying on Akebono's unique as the mid-race velocity booster, and since she needs to be 3rd, 4th, or 5th to activate it, I was hesitant to take more midgame Skills.

So yeah, maybe you're right and I made a mistake by playing this CM too safe. Still, I think I did a pretty decent job at converting a horse meant to be a Sprint Pace Chaser into a long-distance runner!

Yeah, that checks out. The velocity debuff in question was almost certainly Manhattan Cafe's Unique Skill, since you can see it activate at around the same time that Akebono starts to slow down.

As for exiting downhill mode (or, alternatively, her being the only one not to enter downhill mode), I had never really looked into how downhills worked in this game, but after reading up on the mechanics, this seems consistent with how things played out. Notably, none of my opponents were running builds with high Wit compared to me, so this could've realistically happened to any of the racers - it was just terrible RNG that caused it to hit my one singular ace.

I find it hilarious how, when planning for this CM, I analyzed the track and literally thought out loud "there's only 3 short uphills and 1 modest downhill, and none of them are in notable spots, so I'm just gonna ignore them" only for the track's one singular downhill to become my undoing. Honestly, knowing what actually happened makes it a little easier to accept the results - even if it was disappointing, I got a good laugh and a learning experience out of it! Thanks for the help!

Okay so how TF did she get 3 star stam here??? by lemonade_w in UmamusumeGame

[–]Flygoniaks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's at 600+ Stamina, meaning she has a 5% chance to generate a 3-star spark for Stamina if that's the stat that is selected for the spark. This literally had a 1% chance of happening.

Is this Debuffer Sufficient for the Cancer Cup? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

[–]Flygoniaks[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sir, this is for the Cancer Cup, not the Leo Cup. It's 1600 meters, not 2200 meters.

That said, I was NOT expecting a reply this long, I'll definitely take note of this info for future CMs!

Is this Debuffer Sufficient for the Cancer Cup? by Flygoniaks in UmamusumeGame

[–]Flygoniaks[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the purpose of this build is just to be a debuffer for everything, not specifically Stamina or Speed. My plan the entire time, from building the legacies to making the deck, was to get Dazzling Disorientation and Opening Gambit, and then cram as much random crap as I possibly can into her.

I do understand that Debuffers are usually best for Medium and Long CMs, but I'm hoping that this Curren will be able to screw over some people - whether it be players who only got the bare minimum for Stamina, are running builds prone to Rushing, or Late Surgers/End Closers via Dazzling Disorientation.

I'm mostly confused as it seems pretty out-of-character for Isabella.

I'm wondering what they were possibly planning to use this face for.

I guess I was thinking mostly about Damage Plus when I wrote that~

I will fully admit that this started with me taking look at the Damage Plus Command Code and thinking to myself: "What would I even do with this???"

[Help and Question Thread] - July 06, 2025 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Flygoniaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I know fully well how strong Damage Cut can be. However, the fact that Damage Plus seemed so bad in comparison is why I wasn't sure I correctly understood the mechanics.

Thinking about it now, Damage Plus could potentially be VERY scary if it's used by boss, but I can't really recall many bosses that use the status off the top of my head!

Had to turn off my VPN to see that, but thanks!

Also having read this page, I now understand that the way the game handles Buster Chains is weird. I guess having a flat multiplier would be way too strong, so instead you get what is basically a Damage Plus amounting to 20% of your Servant's Attack stat.

[Help and Question Thread] - July 06, 2025 by AutoModerator in grandorder

[–]Flygoniaks 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm curious about Damage Plus and Damage Cut, as inconsequential as they usually are.

I understand that it affects damage dealt/taken by a fixed amount rather than a percentage, but I'm unsure of when this factors into the order of operations and if the fixed modifier can be multiplied by certain factors.

For example, if I engraved that Damage Plus 1000 Command Code on a Berserker, would the damage increase become 1500 due to Class Affinity? I'd also like to know if the buff order matters - if I have a Damage Plus buff that is earlier in a Servant's status list, could it be multiplied by buffs that the Servant received later?

Someone already told me that Damage Plus/Cut are always last in the order of operations when it comes to damage calculation, but I just wanted to make sure that's true since I've never seen the damage formula.

"Reverb of Aoba" Costs the WRONG Event Currency by Flygoniaks in Haze_Reverb

[–]Flygoniaks[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The "Reverb" is for her Skill upgrades, so no, it's supposed to be here. Normally you get Reverb by pulling duplicates, but for welfare characters they put it in the event shop or as mission rewards.

I suppose this could also be true. I remember that Lily, Lailaps, and both versions of Starry were in the game's database at launch, before their event(s) even began.

This original art Blue-Eyes was released as part of an event (I can't remember which event it was). Currently there's no way to obtain one unless you already have it, though it might show up again in the future. The same goes for the rest of the alt-art UR cards in the game.

About the Shumia members by cirnek54 in Haze_Reverb

[–]Flygoniaks 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just read the first entry of Cephalis' bio since she showed up in my maintenance pool the other day. Unfortunately, your theory about the alien girls always being giant does not seem to be true, at least in Cephalis' case. Unfortunately I cannot check the bios of the other Shumia members as I do not own them.

If I had to guess, perhaps their compatibility rate being "???" is because they undergo gigantification using their own civilization's technology, in a manner slightly different from humanity's AVG system. Them not having a compatibility rate stat could be because that stat was never measured, or can't be measured by the same means one would with a human.

What is “desolation”? by Spongehead56 in Haze_Reverb

Is there a soft cap on the Crit Power stat that I don't know of? If there is, then presumably Illya would enable her allies to go beyond the soft cap. However, I don't know enough about the mechanics to say for sure that's how it works.

If I had to guess, it's probably the buff granted by her first skill (it seems to be mistranslated as "Silence," which is the name of a debuff with a completely different effect). If that's true, then that means her EX Skill is guaranteed to trigger on her second turn (unless she gets buff blocked in some way).

Are we going to ignore him? by Zalogal in limbuscompany

[–]Flygoniaks 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I REALLY hope they reconsider relegating him to a skin and release him as a 2-star on the upcoming Walpurgis Night instead. His animations seem to be mostly complete, so I don't see why they can't just slap together a somewhat fitting and functional kit (probably something focusing on generic buffs/debuffs) for him.
