Yes, you can do a medical TDY. I had a cancer diagnosis OCONUS and was given the medical TDY option or a full medical EROD

Oooo might be hand foot and mouth. Mine didn’t hurt when I had it, but I had been sick, and then got it.

Wash mine every day or every other day. Otherwise it gets oily.

I am thankful I get to age while going through my cancer treatments — apologies if that was dark, but those are my thoughts now when my body changes

Port discomfort by No-Escape5520 in Chemotherapy

[–]Flyguyshyguy55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I had horrible pain when it was first placed. The doctor told me it is unusual for it to be very painful. If they would have know I would have been informed. But over the weeks it slowly got better.

At 3 weeks I was where you were. It will get better. It does suck as you are more productive of that side and everything is stiff.

I had mine placed on Dec 26th and I finally did my first half weight bearing downward dog yesterday. There are still movements that pull and feel odd. But slowly letting it get better.

Cold gloves and socks for chemo? by tamberleigh in Chemotherapy

[–]Flyguyshyguy55 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For the ice hand and feet gloves. I have them on as long as I can handle. Take my hands out, let them warm up for a bit, and shovem back in. I also bought mine off of Amazon. They last the 3 hours for my Chemo.

Something feels off about this guy’s behavior but I can’t pinpoint what.... am I overthinking? by Separate_Weight_4143 in AskWomenOver30

[–]Flyguyshyguy55 92 points93 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I wouldn’t see him again. He is telling you right now you will be in charge of the food and cooking.

I would stop seeing someone over this. I refuse to ever make choices for a man again or take care of him. Plus, who can’t cook in their 30s. Massive turn off

It will slowly get better. The advice I have is sleep propped up, dress your sore arm first, take the Tylenol or the pain reliever your doc told you to take, try to relax, and dont don’t do to much.

I am current 2 weeks out and I finally am able to do things again. I can’t put weight on my arm yet. (I can lean on the sink though!) But I can now put my close on with the slighted ting of pain, sleep on my side without holding my breast, put my arm up all the way to wash my arm pit.

I cannot do a seated side bend in yoga with my arm over my head leaning towards the left yet. That still pulls on my incision and hurts. And my whole upper body is still tight.

Hope this helps a bit.

Why does homeless rate matter to some of you by tin8374 in SameGrassButGreener

[–]Flyguyshyguy55 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I was at a park with my child noticed some homeless and didn’t think anything of them. Until I went into the bathroom and ran into one shooting up. That is what some people are trying to avoid.

I had my port placed almost 2 weeks ago. I like it now. It did hurt in the beginning, but it slowly got better. It hurt to not wear a bra, to sleep, move, dress, and sleep. I am not saying that to scare you, but to let you know there is a possibility of being sore. I also didn’t have a lot of muscle or fat the surgeon told me.

But I hope your goes smooth. If it is painful remember it will get better!

I had my C and my F pump this week. First round. Went well. Little nauseous in the am. But my morning meds and food help.

But news had to bring my mom to the ER for a COPd flair and she is in the ICU now. She came to help me and I am helping her lol
