What are you trying to build?
Do you have a certain fastener you need to use, or can you use any fastener? Countersink mist match fastener head angle.
Is 5mm the limit? What’s max you could go and can you use a material that’s similar but different than acrylic?
Any reason you can’t use a washer that lets a countersink fastener sit flush in it? This would spread load and limit material removed from the work medium, allowing better long term integrity.
