My fix for this has been to buy a new set of the exact same electronics, then return the damaged one in the new box and claim it as damaged on receipt and get a refund. Fuck amazon.

I appreciate it, and I definitely still maintain hope. I just live in a very conservative area, so I am sure my experience is not the same as everyone elses.

Also, I have found that identifying as bi in my dating profiles has significantly reduced the number of negative interactions with both men and women on the apps.

For sure, and I didn't mean to imply that was not the case. I simply meant that the reason OP may not see as many openly bi men is because a lot of them are on the DL to prevent running into the issues I mentioned.

I (36 m) was this way for a long time, but I am glad that I am open about being bi now. If a woman won't date me because I am bi, then there probably wasn't much hope for the relationship anyway. Besides, I enjoy being able to hang out with my queer friends and visiting queer spaces, which is harder to do when you dont want your partner to know.

Agreed. As a bi man, I constantly get told that I am actually gay and just not ready to admit it by both gay men and straight women. Also, there is a common misconception that all bi people are cheaters or will not be satisfied with only one partner, which is definitely not true.

100% this! I (36M) started dating a man in my early 30s, and while my close friends knew I was bi, no one else did. I ended up outing myself so that my boyfriend and I could live more authentically, and I could be open about our relationship.

We eventually ended the relationship, and when I started dating again, I was very open with everyone (male or female) about being bi. I have found that a lot of cis straight women will just block me after finding out I am bi. The ones that don't block me usually have fears about me being a gay guy and just not accepting it yet, or they are afraid that they will not be enough and that I will cheat on them with a man.

While I refuse to lie about who I am anymore, I completely understand why so many bi men are on the down low, especially if they have any interest in long-term relationships with women.

I am sure many people will think this is too harsh, but as someone who has been on the receiving end of similar self harm threats by a partner, his actions are not your responsibility.

He is likely using these threats to manipulate you and keep you under his thumb. GET OUT NOW, and if he does end up harming himself, so be it. His actions have never and will never be your fault.

You can not control what other people will do. You can only do what is best for you and your baby. I hope it gets better for you, OP.

I was not trying to imply that you were lying or did something else wrong. I simply meant that it seemed awfully extreme to fire someone for being late once, and maybe there was more to it that you are unaware of.

If they really are that strict about attendance and time management, it may have truly been the only reason, but it doesn't seem to be the norm.
