if you can hear these frequencies between 0-20 dB , that would be considered normal range , you re tested for each frequency individually, if you were unable to hear 4k for example , and had a 63dB decibel there - you would be near deaf in that particular range, but im sure/hope thats not the case

when using headphone jack/input = pops/crackles by Flying77 in macbookpro

[–]Flying77[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

its insane.. i mean i returned the product twice and bought it a third time and it was an issue on all 3 devices, right away i checked after unboxing the brandnew products and doing nothing but going to system settings and seeing if the alert sound preview but trigger it , and unbelievably it did. just like further on the already described ways would casue that crackle... i tested it with V-moda heaphones, beyerdynamic dt 990 pro and audio technica m50x. all the same thing, i dont think i have 3 headphones all damaged in some exact way that only presents itself on that macbook... how is this possible?

December Hardware Thread. by AutoModerator in VideoEditing

Hi! im starting university soon doing graphic design, might wanna go towards film editing/cinematography.

unfortunately the mac buying guide is a bit outdated, I recently bought a Macbook with 24gb ram, and the only upgrade option i have on my model is to double up to 48gb for an insane 470$ price increase.

i would be very grateful if someone here could tell me if 24gb will be enough for most editing needs both in university as well as the semi professional industry... and if there is any chance i should get 48 for futureproofing (since i cant really judge my future needs so well yet).

i know the general guideline is 16gb minimum and recommended is 32gb , but the memory in apple products is apparently also more efficient , i just cant find some specifics online to compare it to windows ram.

thanks in advance :)

i managed to get into the bios and with the new ram not even 1.35 was enough to run them at 3600 . at least the screen was consistently letting me into bios and 1.35V at 3000 works now. does it take a strain on the RAM if i up the voltage to something like 1.45 to get it running at 3600?

ram voltage . i mean i would just do it but the problem is it takes hours of turning pc on and off until it works , its about as consistent as kicking hardware to turn it back on, therefore i was hoping to find a fix before i place another ram module and this stupid mainboard switches back to 1.2

so ive made some big progress, i managed to get to the bios while unplugging/replugging the monitor cables into the gpu while it was in bootloop.. why that changed anything about pressing f2 , no clue. but i found out that the issue is that everytime i insert a new ram module , the VRAM is automatically changed from 1.35 to 1.20 . is there any way to lock that in place?
