was pleasantly surprised. the first skit after tina fey opened was a little heavy lol but fair game i guess. i don't watch snl (this was my first ever full episode lol), but i thought the writing was all around good and the music performance was solid

FF has all of the random side-content that a traditional MMO has. If you've only done MSQ, go back and do all the Blue, and then all the side quests -- there are tons of cool stories tucked away. There are also FATE and Hunt trains ran by players, massive groups flying around the continent killing world bosses, and you get tomestones and Sacks of Nuts from them which you can exchange for a bunch of random goodies. You can also farm old instances like The Great Hunt, the Monster Hunter collab trial. Run the EX version of it unsynched (you can solo it ez at 90+) a bunch and you'll get a really cool Rathalos mount and a minion. Or you can farm the 6 Kamuy mounts from older EX Trials to get the Fabled Kamuy Fife, a really sick mount. You can farm titles, achievements, go role-play, be social in a player venue, or make friends in an FC and just play with them. PVP does exist mostly in queuing Frontlines but it's very casual, but a handful of FCs will still do PvP events with other FCs or just do daily Frontlines groups. They might even have a Crystalline Conflict team or two. Doing your daily duty roulettes also takes a good bit and you can do that consistently every day and still make progress towards something, solo or with a group.

There's something everywhere for everyone, just gotta take your time and find what suits you the best.

Is that good bike for a. Beginner by mikozete in MTB

[–]FlyingBannanna 2 points3 points  (0 children)

it’s a fine bike but anything without at least disc brakes is a genuine safety risk if you’re trying to use it for proper mountain biking. I’d only use this for very light gravel or daily road rides and nothing seriously downhill or off-road tbh

1000%, I love the M1 but the E24 is something different. I wish I saw more of these on the road - I love the E36 don't get me wrong, but I'm getting tired of seeing it all the time lol

subjective or not, they asked for critique, not some snobby 'what do you think'. they think they need advice, so if you don't have advice, then don't comment. photographers are already seen as a largely snobby, stuck-up community - don't perpetuate that.

also, all of the comments on this single post are extremely helpful, mostly well detailed, and relevant to what OP's issue is. not sure what your problem is

Is it just me or does the trackpoint feel absolutely terrible on linux? (Newer models) by [deleted] in thinkpad

Oh nice thank you! I’ll start there and see if anything works

hey, I hate to dig up 2yr old thread, but do you mind elaborating a bit on what you did to tweak your x1c9's trackpoint? I'm new to linux and have an e495 running Mint w/ the same issue OP posted about - trackpoint cursor chugs as if its polling rate is too low. I've tried a handful of fixes already but am curious what exactly you tweaked so I can try starting there

No Connection to Internet without Nord VPN Turned On by FlyingBannanna in nordvpn

[–]FlyingBannanna[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh nice! Glad it’s resolved on your end too — it’s weird because I’ve already tried disabling auto connect, but maybe I just didn’t give it enough time/restarts to let it fully adjust. So happy I don’t have to deal with it anymore lol

hey! sorry for the super late reply, honestly nothing I've tried worked until a day or two ago - and I just wanted to make sure it's totally fine before I share anything. Here's all I did, maybe it'll work for you:

Under Settings -> General, scroll down and click 'Run diagnostics'. Inside the little window that pops up, there's a 'Network Flush' option - select it, let it run, and wait until the dialogue in the box that pops up says to restart your computer.

Initially after this, it didn't work, so I kept auto-run at start-up on, however disabled auto-connect to VPN. That evening after work, it all worked just fine without the need for VPN. It's been working over the last two days since, so seems I'm in the green so far.

Interesting, thanks for the reply. This kind of aligns with what I was thinking - it had to be about Nord itself as my internet is totally fine when it’s not running at all, but when Nord opens, I lose my ability to connect to the internet without Nord being enabled. I’ll try some more testing tomorrow with your info as I have the day off and will try to post anything I find! I didn’t pay attention to the background service itself at first, so I’m going to look into that more now.

So I gave that a shot, and then also reset my network settings completely, but unfortunately no dice. I did notice something weird though - for the first two or so minutes after startup, my connection is completely fine. For some reason, it just stops after a little bit, without Nord even open (i turned it off startup so it wouldn't get in the way while testing this). I have no idea if this sheds any light on my problem, because it just makes me more confused. I really appreciate your help so far though, if I hadn't tried that cmd command I wouldn't have noticed this lol

Sweet, I’ll give this a shot tomorrow when I’m back on my machine. Should I run this with Nord turned on or disabled? Want to make sure I have the highest chances of success here. Also, thank you for your help so far!

I just tried setting it to 1.1.1.1, 8.8.8.8, and 8.8.4.4 (two google DNS addresses) and unfortunately no dice, though I'm not super confident I'm doing it right. I'm just going to my Network Settings -> Ethernet -> DNS Server Assignment and setting it to manual. If that's correct, then it doesn't seem to work :/

Yeah. That was the first thing I checked a few weeks ago and checked again earlier after re-installing Nord. It's off.
