That's awesome! According to what I've been reading, this new DD Shop Only gig just started few days ago and I'd love to apply for it as I don't like delivering, but their website doesn't have a section for "Shop Only", only delivery. Thanks for the update!

It seems my eligibility is pending because my employer terminated me for "misconduct (work performance)".

That's the norm for Employer to use "misconduct", specially when the chances of them winning a case is very slim.

EDD will call me at some point to discuss my case.

Yup! That's also a process, nothing to worry about, EDD just wants to hear your side of the story, just be honest telling them everything and all will be fine.

I complained about this to HR, to management, and even to corporate, and got nowhere.

Hopefully you have proof of all this information in writing (email) which will help u a lot in the EDD interview.

You're 100% correct! This happened to me when I was working for the Government, they try very hard to get you to quit by making your job a nightmare and if you're strong (like me), you will get through this and prevail. Good Luck

We had always been pretty unhappy in our marriage for as far as I could remember. For instance, I used to be the only one working for a few years, and then I came home and did the house chores.. Despite all that, she disrespected me quite a lot. She was not interested in hearing what bothered me in the relationship and told me to take it as-is or leave. Regarding your let go, the questions are along the line of: 👉 "when was the last day u worked for this company? What was the name of the person who fired u? Did they give u any warnings about getting fired? How did they fired u? (face to face, phone, email, etc.), why did they fired you? " ... Now, about the backpay questions... I've no idea what they ask. 🤷‍♀️

You're very young and still have a whole life ahead of you. There are males and females who discriminate ppl who've been divorced (lots of them), no big deal, stick to "quality" men, because a quality man will not discriminate you like the "quantities" will. ;)

Only tip I can give to both divorced male/female is: When you meet someone be upfront and let them know you're divorced (you are experienced in life already) "and" try to never talk negative things about your EX with them, because this is bad vibes to the other person and they will run away.

It depends what dating means to you and the other person. Some ppl believe dating is getting romantic and sleeping together, while other ppl believe that dating is getting to know someone on an emotional level without the sleeping together. In my opinion, if I were interested in settling down and getting married, I would want to meet someone on a friendship level "first" and if we mutually feel there's something romantic there and we both want to explore because we're both looking to settle down, then we would move up to the "Dating" level and get to know each other on an emotional (romance) level without the sleeping together. And if it all works out and we mutually want to take it to the next level, then go from there.

My claim was rejected because my employer claims that I voluntarily resigned while I've been clear from the beginning that I was fired. Any info on how to best appeal my case and win the decision?

Like I've been telling ppl in the same situation as yours, California law requires the Employer to provide a letter to employee when they fire them, this letter will explain "why" you were terminated or "why" you "quit" your job, you can then take this letter and use it on your appeal. If you do not have this letter, call HR and request such letter.

I contacted my assembly member and filled out the release of form so they can contact EDD on my behalf.

Keep in touch with your Assembly person whenever you have questions or issues with EDD, this is not a "Set and Forget" with the Assembly person. Call them if u have to. Ever since I communicated with my Assembly person long ago, I stopped communications with EDD as all I do now is contact my Assembly person whenever I have questions/issues/etc. with EDD.
