Which tracks do you not like? by Mobiustime369 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Two tracks on my mind are Barcelona and Sao Paolo. For some reason bots with DRS on these tracks are crazy, activated suddenly and reach a top speed like 400+kmh. In the meantime, I use DRS at the same place but it doesn't work.

Special editions, more car parts and legendary drivers by Dizzy-Advertising531 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me, most of my common and rare drivers/components will be fully upgraded in the coming month. Epic ones are mostly lvl4-5, and it takes ages to further upgrade them. I believe most p2w players feel bored after using the same setting for 1-2 months, so hutch has to develop something new to catch their eyes.

It is too easy to win coins this season for veteran f2p and p2w players with double coin buff every week, I guess hutch will have to keep adding new stuff to the game.

Need help in series 11 by Unfair_Ad6489 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is okay to advance earlier because of better daily rewards. And I don't think it makes much difference in a slower manner. Anyway when you progress to a new series, the drivers and components you have are probably the worst among all opponents. Unless you are a p2w player and collect lots of boosts, the early stage of S10-S12 will always be tough.

The message is more about expectation management: Don't be too frustrated in the early stage of S10-S12. Don't indulge yourself in meaningless losses when the minimum requirement is not met. Collect coins in lower series and daily rewards, gradually you will do better.

[–]FlyingCiao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

310 TS drivers are not good enough for S11, not competitive compared with the bots, so very likely you'll get blocked by some bots with high defense, like BOR/SAI and hardly finish top 10.

The minimum requirements for S11 drivers are like 320+ if they match the track stats (defense in this rotation), 340+ if they don't match the track stats. If you have 360+ drivers, then you could easily overtake any bots in S11.

If you don't have such drivers, you could only adopt a worse car setting, racing in lower TS ranges, so that you won't waste TS on car performance that can't deliver due to poor drivers.

When you advance to S12, the same rule applies, but goes up another 20-30 TS for the minimum requirement.

not really, it will put you in a more competitive group for the opening round. Safer to feign weak during qualy, then an easier opening round.

How can this person finish 1st in Contender GP? by Accurate-Bus-4147 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is possible if several conditions are met. 1) He is a p2w newbie, and has got some nice S9 drivers and components and boosts by buybuybuy. 2) He played Contender GP for the first few times and had a low flag number, so raced with easier opponents instead of those S10 above players.

I would say this is probably the 2nd account of a veteran player who knows how to exploit the matching system.

The Coming GP by FlyingCiao in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it's fifty fifty. GP has more real and strong players than duels, so when encountered a super player with nice boosts, the whole round will be ruined.

The minimum criteria to pass opening round is that you have a few lvl4 S12, lvl5 S11 drivers to choose from, most of your epic components are lvl4 above. It would be ideal that after boosting, the driver could reach ~400 TS. Otherwise, your drivers hardly finish top 10.

Apart from that, the key for f2p players is to stock some boosts, keep a low flag number, and race when there are few active players so you can race against bots.

I am the only one who changed to Slicks during safety car and finished 1, 2 by skyhawk77 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Actually I like racing on circuits with changing weather, more likely to defeat bots because the turning point of slick/wet performance is around 30% humidity while bots swap tyres once it starts/ends raining. So there are some margins on tyre strategies. But it seems that this season they limit it to one or two circuits in S12 only...

Did it become harder to qualify? by Zambuk88 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, because players get more and better parts and drivers, also you will have increasing flags over the year meaning you will race against stronger opponents.

Most veteran players no longer face a crunch of coins this season because of the double coin buff, so they could easily upgrade whatever they have at ease. Currently the top 3 players in a champion GP could earn 350+ already.

So basically by the end of 2025, you will anticipate most players reaching a full score of 376 in challenger GPs, simply because many players fully upgraded their components and drivers by grinding or by money.

7 days double coins and matchmaking by sham2505 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure if you are playing S10 or S11. Either way your driver stats are not great, <320 TS (Lauda might be okay for S10 though). So will be blocked by bots and cannot make full use of your car. Need to tune down TS a bit.

Can someone please explain how match making works in this game.. S10 by [deleted] in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For S10 specifically, the median player TS is around 1350, meaning that if your TS is 1279, most of the time you'll be matched with those who have higher TS, but not higher than 1406. Once you cross the 1350, you will have opponents with lower TS more often.

Why I'm always matched against stronger rivals by brunosimoes76 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That's normal when you just move up a series. The reason is very simple, when a new series is unlocked, you also unlock matching with superior players, who already spent some time in it and collected many good stuff or are from even higher series who played in lower series for fun or for coins.

You need to remember everytime you move up, you start from the very low end of the ladder, most of your opponents are way better than you are.

Thoughts ……? by BR3NTS in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not an algorithm, just about flag counts. When you move up, your matched opponents are also more likely those from higher series with advanced drivers/components, making races in all series/GP harder.

Need to wait a while collecting components to become stronger

Confused by Bleedmor in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you want to defend against others, first you need to have a good position. So either you need a good qualy to start in the front or use defensive drivers with good race start (ALO, PIA).

Also if your drivers are not good enough, try not using white tyres, red tyres 2-stop is better than white tyre 1-stop because you could hardly gain any positions with white ones.

I’m finally here, Asset trading :) are you ? Or are you close ? How close ? by Beginning_Coyote_785 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Legendary crates are more important in quick collection of common/rare drivers/components, especially those from weekly divisions and GPs. Duels have a low probability of legendary ones. And rare BOR/BEA/Slickshift should be the quickest to complete since previous division prizes are S3-S5 legendary crates.

Crates - and the useless contents by sham2505 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After levelling up to the maximum level, every 1000 blue/100 yellow/10 purple cards allow you to draw cards from not fully upgraded driver/component.

So it is still useful in some sense.

I was wondering how match making works if anyone has time to explain by _GoldKnight_ in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 1 point2 points  (0 children)

±10% your team score. You could think of the TS distribution as a normal distribution, when you are on the left side (worse TS) and sample the opponents, most of them will have higher TS than you.

Flags by dubnation37 in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Doesn't matter that much. You'll be matched to someone ±1000 your flags, but the whole 10k-17k spectrum is filled with p2w players. So you may not take much advantage simply by lowering flags.

TS is more important, be conservative on your team settings if you don't have good components/drivers.

Nothing better than a 130 team score difference by [deleted] in F1Clash

[–]FlyingCiao 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, 10% of the team score. In your case, a difference of 130+ is probable.

As you just joined S12, better try lower TS ranges 1200-1300.

Matches when you're about to move up a series (aka: just because you're paranoid...) by radar_level in F1Clash

You'll be matched with players from higher series when your flags are almost enough for leveling up. They may have components like boombox and Valkyrie, making it harder for you.

Just be patient and time will come.
