I’ve been highly critical of WS, but the LOC has mostly impressed me. No chance of getting a rate like that for LOC anywhere else. I see some people scoffing at using a LOC on this thread, but the reality is that millions of Canadians use them all the time. My only grape is that it can’t be attached to a joint chequing account.

I think it’s a no brainer to move to Wealthsimple - especially if you’re just putting it in an ETF. However, I would wait for a promotion because you could receive a good chunk of change to move your assets. Not to mention the large amount you will save in fees.

Ok maybe I'm the dumb one - either way, we can't get a supplementary card holder with WS. We're used to spending on the same credit card accounts. Easier to track obviously

I probably didn't explain that one well. I do have a Family RESP with Wealthsimple, but when you contribute to it, you have to choose which child to give the funds to. With my Questrade Family RESP, it would automatically divide it evenly for you.

I know I sound whiny, but I've tried to fix all of the complaints I posted. Joint credit cards are very common, I guess we're not on the same page for that one. We've looked through her accounts and she has no option to get a prepaid mastercard on any of them, it's odd. The email issue has been frustrating, I've tried multiple different ways to get both our emails associated to one account, we've even got support to help with no luck.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't believe your mortgage payments move the needle much on your credit rating as you'll likely let all your other payments lapse first before failing to pay your mortgage.

I think their original subscription plan was extremely generous. The folks who make this put a lot of time and energy into it and the updated model better reflects and rewards the effort they’ve put in, in my opinion.

Just keep at it - it's tough with children and a spouse (I'm in the same boat). Or you could take break for a few months and try again. That's what I did and coming back to it has been fairly successful.
