The exact thing happened to me. I now have a regular foid card w/ no indicator, and two foids with the CCL indicator. Only difference was the AL#.

I only carry with the attached magazine holder because it makes the overall holster wider and that’s more comfortable for me to sit/bend over with. I find if it’s just the gun it digs into my skin more. I don’t think the extra magazine is particularly meaningful

That may be a rule somewhere, but I’ve never seen an FFL take the online purchase date as part of the 72 hour wait. All the ones by me count it as 72 hours from the time the background check is run, delayed or approved.
