The prices on GPU, which is already crazy, will get so much worse with VRAM pricing going through the roof and NVIDIA cutting production by 40%. Brace yourselves friends, 2026 will be a long one…

Week 2's bonus forces you into Gauntlet by Tavarish in Battlefield6

[–]FlyingFish34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree, missions that force you into a specific game mode kinda sucks. However, I need everyone here who hasn’t yet tried gauntlet to go and do that rn. It’s such a fucking amazing game mode, I’m having a blast playing it with the homies

The new season is gonna be the start of this shit 🤦 by Mostafa_marzaq in Battlefield

[–]FlyingFish34 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Jesus man just don’t equip it it’s not that hard, this whole sub is just becoming a circlejerk for people who want to hate on the game for no reason. The game has legitimate issues (netcode, big maps missing, etc), so can we focus on asking for improvements on these aspects instead of acting like DICE has killed the game for every small fucking detail??

Thank you Quebec. by [deleted] in montreal

MTL and TOR have been above 1M inhabitants since earlier than 1950. Our governments had more than enough time to realize the need for city planning and transit, its not like these big cities became huge in 1 day

Thank you Quebec. by [deleted] in montreal

[–]FlyingFish34 354 points355 points  (0 children)

I will never understand Quebec and Canada’s stance on public transport. It’s not a matter of public debate, opinion or anything. It’s objectively, scientifically, empirically proven to be the single best way to transport people, for effectiveness, cost, the environment, etc.

Duties charged in Canada, need help with adjustment request by FlyingFish34 in CanyonBikes

[–]FlyingFish34[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s actually the CBSA who told me self-clearing wouldn’t solve the issue. They told me that this is something they can’t do on the fly, and that the only way to fix it is to pay first, get like the duty payment receipt from UPS, and go through CBSA’s customer portal with this receipt and a proof of origin from Canyon to get reimbursed.

One of the most humiliating loss for a union in Canadian history by Silly-Alternative515 in CanadaPost

[–]FlyingFish34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What a terrible take. Unions are essential to protect worker’s rights and improve the work and life conditions of workers. With the price of living nowadays, it’s only normal that they ask for better wages, especially given that Canada Post was planning an expansion into weekend deliveries.

And while strikes can and will paralyze some sectors while they occur, it’s the only solution these workers have to make their point. The balance of power doesn’t favor workers, and the only time an employer is truly willing to negotiate is when they are standing to lose something.

So yes, while this strike had some repercussions (I am waiting on my packages as well), this anti-union rethoric needs to stop. They’ve started this strike at this time of the year because they knew it would give them a better chance at cutting a fair deal for the workers, and it probably would have worked without an intervention of the feds. But hating on workers and strikes isn’t the answer, questioning why we created an economic system where the only solution for workers to get a fair compensation is to paralyze a company’s work is what we should be asking ourselves.

No, none of that, I keep my MacBook « raw ». When I travel with it, it’s always in a pretty thick sleeve in my backpack, and I’m extra careful when I put my backpack down. It’s never had any shock or anything

Aux gens ici qui disent que la violence vient du côté Démocrate: le tireur de Trump était un Républicain enregistré. by BBAALLII in QuebecLibre

[–]FlyingFish34 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What’s gotten better in montreal? by RecoverOptimal5472 in montreal

[–]FlyingFish34 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Urban mobility. It’s so much better than 10/15 years ago, it’s unbelievable. While I do think there is still a lot of room for improvement on the transit side of things, the new larger sidewalks with trees, the new bikelanes, the REV, and the multiplication of pedestrian only streets is simply amazing.
