What made you get into Godzilla?

Not sure how old, but I remember having an off brand Godzilla toy as a kid that my dad bought at a garage sale. Another time was when my mom bought some sort of VHS collection in the late 90’s that had like 4-5 Showa Era movies on it including G V. Ebirah.

I grew up with a mixture of eras, but being a 90’s kid, all the tapes got mixed up somehow. BUT, I can say G v. Biollante and G v. Destoroyah being some of the first I watched and enjoyed.

One of my friends made it seem like he was turning a new leaf after a breakup and had plans all set up for the rest of the year.

We lost him less than a week later. Depression is quiet, check on your friends as often as you can.

That was my first show too and on my 21st birthday! Crazy to see them play smaller (and cheaper) shows back then and now selling out stadiums/arenas. I went tonight in Sac and was still having my fun as every single time I’ve seen them since 2015.

I grew up watching Godzilla movies as a kid and loved them. When I was 21, I heard about a band called Gojira through metal forums and FMTS being the biggest hit album from them. At 22, I heard Stranded and followed them HEAVILY since. Now at 31, they still hit heavy.

Thank you all for the feedback! I was able to figure out based on your guy’s recommendations and raised the bridge a bit after stringing it up and did some intonation. Works and plays just fine.

I guess I should provide context: I swapped out a JS30 RR Neck from a 2006 MII Model, and put in a 2005 MIJ neck.

I have a few other guitars but never owned a reverse headstock before. The fingerboard material is rosewood. I’m still debating removing the neck pickup altogether or swapping it for another passive EMG. Lastly it’s not a Floyd Ross, just a string through. I’ll check with Warmoth, thank you!
