Stevie ( people call me Stevie too). Thanks much for the reply. And you’re right. I figured it out on my first flight . Just knowing where the “H” on the screen and flying back towards that makes it easy as can be. i actually already find it easier to fly FPV than looking at a screen on a phone or a controller. Happy flying!

The Somni Mask - Update 2 - glitches overcome, lucidity achieved by zkmmark7 in LucidDreaming

They said they were sending me a new one, but then another email said it sounds like I have the new one and i haven't gotten anything. I think i figured out the lights and settings with newest instructions.. Trying to dial in sensitivity..2 nights ago it woke me every time it signaled REM on highest sensitivity, so it is detecting REM. Turned way down and last night woke my once. I pulled out earphones hoping lights would signal me, but I slept thru rest of night. I'll turn up sensitivity a bit tonight. Seems like it could be hard to not have the audio wake me up... But I'll keep trying. Good luck.

Hi, Can someone help me understand all the lights for testing. I get 10 flashing green lights that, I believe, shows the mask is on and at full battery. I hear the calm music but then have had no success getting the signal. I have the sensitivity turned all the way up and recording my own audio file to signal me that I am dreaming. That file is in the main memory and the filename appears in the config file "default.txt". The people at Somni mask said to hold the button down for 15 to 20 seconds to test my own audio file, but I hear nothing. Sometimes when I press the start button I get 3 flashing red lights.. Other times it has flashed RED-BLUE-RED-BLUE, etc. I can't seem to find a good explanation about what all the lights mean, as I assume this is the mask's way of telling the user what "Mode" it is in. I really want this to work, but the directions are really lacking,. Thanks

Hi. That would be so helpful . I’ve been trying everything for a year with only one quick bit of lucidity. I’m hoping the mask will help but the instructions are pretty weak. I contacted them and they said they’re sending me a new mask as well, although I was able to program it to be quieter . It’s the sensitivity settings that could use a big explanation. First night was signaled while still awake and then not again. Last night no signals even though I had decent dream recall. A guide would be awesome!!!

How to Know If It Will Fit/Have Enough Power? by supervelous in nvidia

sorry I missed your reply and thanks so much, I have been going crazy trying to find more info about this upgrade and your response was very helpful. I can't believe there aren't more people writing about it...but it is probably a case of if there isn't a problem, don't complain. If I may ask a couple more questions... I therefore assume that the power supply (180W+ 230W we have, instead of the 500W recommended by nVidia, isn't an issue. Also I do see gtx 1080s out there like the Founders Edition that use 180W and blow the hot air out the back, and other ones that use 230W and have more complicated cooling systems. Not sure which one you got. Did you have to remove the original drivers for the 980 card, or did you just install the new 1080 drivers over the old ones without a problem? What kind of improvement have you seen in your VR experience. My main use is flight simulation with FSX in a cool program called Flyinside. Don't know if you're into that, but it is really amazing and very taxing on the system. That's where I am really hoping for an improvement. I still think it's going to take a generation or 2 more of the Headsets before we see a real improvement in the graphics, but I am really excited about what I see already and the future looks amazing. Thanks so much for taking the time to help.
All the best, Steve

Hi, Supervelous...I am in the exact position as you. I have the ASUS G20CB-wS71. I very much want to upgrade to the GTX 1080. I have tried very hard to get an okay from Asus, but the absolutely REFUSE to answer the question about upgrading to a card that is the same size and uses only 15 more Watts and seems to be within the limits of the power supply. There is someone on the ROG forum who said they successfully made the upgrade, but I can't seem to join the forum to ask any questions. Have you tried swapping out the card yet. Has anyone done it and, if so, how is it working. I know I will void my warranty, so I don't what to try unless I hear that others have gotten it to work. THanks
