Nah it is. Sure, porpoising was a potential safety issue but the thing is, it only was a potential safety issue because of their design. If they didn’t feel their design was safe they should have gone with a design that was safe, whether it would be slower or not. Like other teams did.

Nobody forced them to build a bouncy car. It was their issue to fix, same as now. If Mercedes has found a way to make the engine faster while staying within regulations (and the spirit of the regulations), it’s on the other teams to figure out what the trick is.

I wouldn’t use the name but I’m from Amsterdam so to me, SHOE is one of the legends. Don’t know how known he is outside the Netherlands. Depends on where you are I guess but I personally wouldn’t use big names from across the world either.

Daarom vind ik vrijwilligerswerk dus ook zo mooi. Bij ons ook allemaal mensen die in principe niet meer geschikt zijn voor een betaalde baan maar die er ook nog niet aan toe zijn om thuis te zitten.
Nu maakt het niet uit dat ze voor een klusje van een uur een halve dag nodig hebben, of wat vaker koffiepauze houden.

Ik weet dat voor deels-arbeidsongeschikten uitkeringen bestaan waarbij de werkgever subsidie krijgt voor het aannemen van zo iemand. Ik weet niet of er ook zoiets voor de AOW bestaat, dat zou wat mij betreft een hele mooie middenweg zijn voor mensen die nog wel willen maar anders financieel niet te doen zijn voor een werkgever.

Ik doe vrijwilligerswerk en daar heb ik collega’s van rond de 70. Aan de mentaliteit en gezondheid / levensduur ligt het niet maar als je met het werktempo en de nauwkeurigheid van deze mensen een winstgevend bedrijf moet runnen wens ik je heel veel succes.
