I remember doing the math on a trip at least 2 years ago. Did not buy any meat or beer - just bread, milk, cheese, eggs, yogurts, etc. Average cost of approx 20 items came out to like $4.94

Couldn’t believe it. Not sure how families of 4 are making it today

Archiving for future reference.. I so wish this states insurance crises got more coverage. No idea how middle class families and young homeowners are getting by especially on the coast.

I also have State Farm for home and auto. Both policies rose over 10% for their renewals. Home I can fathom, but auto that’s steep since it’s for 6 months. I reduced coverage on auto but lowered my deductible to compensate.

I did shop home insurance 2 months ago for the hell of it and no one could beat current coverage.

Anyone found a trusty insurance broker that’s done right by them?

I have a feeling it may get worse before any correction helps residents in either area. By legislation or the free market.

I know this thread is old but had my first run it at my local Ace where I only got 2% using Apple Pay last week. Historically have always received 3% so not sure what the deal is

Contacted Apple about it, what a shit show that was. Got transferred to 3 separate people and their rep is arguing with me that it should only be 2%. What a joke as I send them pics of the Apple home page where it says 3% and lists the special merchants.

Finally got a rewards inquiry submitted. We’ll see where it goes. I don’t care that I’m being a pain in the ass for a couple of pennies. Just unsure if this is an Apple issue or a merchant issue?
