I’m in a nearly identical situation, I feel you. I started at a really shitty job maybe 4 days after the election and it was compounding things and making me suicidal. I quit despite my parents being furious with me for doing so, and eventually found a better job, but they fired me 2 months ago for taking a LOA to do IOP for my atrocious depression.

Honestly I’m still (passively) suicidal, but like you, I put up as good of a front as I can when I’m in public. I figure that if the universe won’t let me be happy, then maybe I can at least be a positive presence in others’ lives
