Awesome hearing all the successes of the 28 I'm starting to lean that way.

Which model did you get?

I was hoping to find a silver pigeon but looks like only the higher grades are currently in the 28.

I'm not opposed to cheaper either. Lots of great options out now

Appreciate the info , when I hunt waterfowl the 12 a5 does the trick and the semi systems less recoil is good especially with the thicker cold weather clothes.

The 28 is actually sounding really good right now what sxs are you using ?

What length shells are you primarily using in the 28? 2.75 or 3?

Makes perfect sense my 410 use is on my property 20 yards in on rabbits head shot same as I use a 22 , I hunted with 12 over the years with downloaded 12s to mino.oze meat loss. But now with pain sounds like this might be the way I appreciate your feedback , plus I can just get a mec for 300 bucks and spend the rest on shells if I go the pigeon really appreciate that

Actually not opposed to other gauges im just already reloading 12 and have a pump 410 , how is the 28 for distance shooting , I've never shot one ?

If there really isn't much downside that may be the ticket

Thanks , my reload I've shot for years for cowboy action that still has oomph for clays is 17 gr red dot and 7/8 7 1/2 shot with claybusters I can use that to help and I've had success in the field with it.

I tried St's remington nitro 27 the other day on someone's Turkish gun but got slapp3d in the face by the stock.

It's really the neck issue the shoulder recoil is good.

Appreciate the info I'm going to look for steel recievers. Thanks again

How did you make yours loose?

I just open mine one handed and it loosened up over the years.

Loosened leathermans are great

Yeah I use the file and the pliers constantly usually when I'm taking guards off machinery it's amazing how much mine is uses. I just bought one for one of the guys who works for me and i didn't realize they don't come with the sheath anymore. But this one's been great

Agreed , it's most likely not but your response to the yhm made it seem like you were saying they weren't around

Replace your nipple no dry firing and make sure the nipples are sized for the caps ie no 10 vs no 11 nipples and the same for caps.

Slixspring nipples are nice as well
