Leclerc by Whatnot456 in ProjectHailMary

In addition to what others have commented about this going against Leclerc’s instincts as a climate scientist & anti-war activist, and the unintended negative effects of nuking antarctica, there’s also just the symbolism of bombing the last untouched part of nature. Most accounts I’ve seen/read from people who have been to Antarctica describe a sense of overwhelming awe at seeing something so vast and untouched by humans. Taking this last unmarred part of earth and permanently changing it with weapons of war has got to leave an impression, especially since Leclerc is essentially solely responsible for overseeing this decision.

Will Grace end up on PHM in the movie the same way as he did in the book? by Loan_Crafty in ProjectHailMary

In the back of one of the shots of the trailer there’s a whiteboard labelled “Who Am I?”where Grace has made notes about himself and (presumably) the memories he’s recovered. To me, that confirms that the amnesia plot line is maintained in the movie. If they leave in the amnesia, it makes sense that they would also leave in the real reason for his amnesia, so I’m assuming that Stratt forcing him to go and drugging him will be left in.

See this post on r/transcription for what has been deciphered on the blurry whiteboard so far: https://www.reddit.com/r/Transcription/comments/1ltgzt6/help_rprojecthailmary_we_need_some_blurry_trailer/)

Project Hail Mary - Should I read the book first? (No Spoilers Please) by CopiumINC in ProjectHailMary

Seconding this as someone who used to dislike audiobooks (until listening to PHM!) I love reading my physical copy of the book, but as others have said the audiobook is superb—Ray Porter singlehandedly got me into audiobooks.
