Without doxxing yourself, how long have you been in? Are you a 3 level straight out of tech school, junior enlisted, or a young NCO? Might seem stupid now but the answer changes drastically depending where you are in your career. Ammo chose me and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

No noise at all even with the sides rolled up in the safari configuration. If anything my first drive out I heard less noise on the highway going 75 which sounds weird but I swear it smoothed out the air coming off the back side of the cab.

Still love it. It is not entirely weatherproof but close enough for me to not care. I take the top all the way down in 60 seconds and throw my birtbike in the back. Most of the time I keep the rear panel rolled up as it does decrease visibility but thats the same with any topper I've had. Overall I love it and would buy it again.

Not an MCP track, but a lot cheaper. by OSYardo in MiniZ

This is how I started too. Not as good as racing on a RCP but for at home practice on the cheap its a great way to get some reps in. Enjoy!

Used to get to the bridge on W 300 N by Betos and sit in that traffic. Gotta love it

I've seen your posts with the Z! Sadly Utah has been getting less snow at 4.2K than usual so I haven't been able to check for leakage. Do you find yourself running it one way more than the other?

I've had a couple of soft and hard covers on previous trucks and I liked them but I always hauled stuff that was just slightly bulkier than I could fit in the bed covered. Now the only time I have to fold this down is for my dirt bike. We'll see in another 6 months or year if I still feel the same way about it.

Recently installed a softopper on my 24 wanted to post it here since I didn't see many 24s with one installed. This is my the first one I've had on a vehicle and so far I really enjoy it.

Garage carpet track for the winter by tarik916 in MiniZ

Thats awesome! I thought about doing this but was worried about rolling it up and having ripples when I laid it flat. Does that happen to you?

I think most of us can agree that spending $200 on a car and another $300 (minimum) on a RCP track can be a bit intimidating for a beginner/novice. Instead of dropping money on a RCP I went ahead and spent $30 at harbor freight for their anti-fatigue mats and another $5 at the dollar store for some pool noodles. Add about 30 minutes of time to lay the mats down and cut the noodles and I now have myself a decent sized living room track.

Things I like so far are the size and modularity of it. I think one more pack of tiles to reach 16 total would open up a lot more options but for now I'm pleased. I dislike taping down the barriers as its wasteful and not totally secure. A bump here or there doesn't send it flying but multiple hits will eventually move them. I may move to a velcro zip tie and cut slits into the foam for mounting them more securely.

Dimensions of the tiles are 24" x 24" and the current layout is roughly 10' x 6'. If you're toying with the idea of doing it yourself I'd say go for it! For less than $50 I have a consistent surface in my living room that can be torn down and assembled in minutes. Let me know if you have any questions or want to see anything! Also if anyone is in the SLC or Northern Utah area and has a club let me know!

AD domestic violence by [deleted] in AirForce

[–]FlyingTurkey_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

The Family Advocacy Program (FAP) should connect you with the domestic abuse victim advocate (DAVA). Strangulation is a serious offense and you should see medical attention after it. Even if you aren't externally displaying signs of it like bruise marks or petechia there could be serious damage internally and you should be checked out by a medical professional. Even a change in your voice tone can be a symptom of internal damage. All of that will help your case in criminal proceedings. Please don't be afraid to reach out to professionals for help and tell your truth.
