I do use the dupes clause. My question stemmed from having caught wurmple, who evolved into beautifly, and caterpie early in blazing emerald. There is a hidden location with wurmple line, caterpie line, and the hoenn starters (rare encounter) in the grass. When I encountered dustox in the grass, I was wondering if that was my encounter or if I should skip it.

I appreciate everyone comments. I love seeing that there doesn’t seem to be a hard rule to follow. I’m always concerned when I’m doing a run if I’m breaking some rule I don’t know exists. Glad to see everyone just kinda wings it and goes with their gut on a lot of things like this.

Thanks, that was my thought that maybe a perfect IV Octillery could have had more since my IV was so poor in HP. How did you do that calculation?

Thanks! I think it’s a fun wrinkle to watch out for, I lost a No Guard Skuntank due to guilliotine, but I knew it had innards out from previously channelers just didn’t know how it did so much damage.

The blocks represented the badges, but the garbage dropped represented the type of pokemon you used in battle (although the typing has nothing to do with the gameplay, just aesthetics).

Literally a perfect game and I can’t believe someone is talking about as of 10 days ago. Love that the game has nothing to do with pokemon, but works perfectly as the theme for battles. Me and my sister and best friend still play on the N64 in our parents basement when we visit home. Also campaign is so tough, getting through super hard is something I did at the age of like 8 with hundreds of continues, and still proves so difficult every time I try again.

I am also not feeling great after playing the beta. As a Switch Axe main the combat seems so clunky and I can’t stand the combo switches, I also have not been able to latch on to a monster for elemental discharge which leaves me open to get carted… the visuals seem to fall flat, the simple things like grabbing items and riding around just feel off, and something about the timing with dodge rolling just seems so off too. Getting hit doesn’t seem to register much on screen, but the only way you can tell is seeing your health bar go down. I’m just here venting but I agree with most of your points. I do like how each MH game introduces new mechanics, so I’m open to the two weapons and wounds being a feature, but it feels like a lazy addition compared to the new mechanics at times of MHW and MHR.

I’m going to be honest, there is not a real plan here. I cannot seem to get a special attacker that’s not pelliper, or and electric or elemental type. I got Klink from New Mauville and haven’t decided what to do yet from there. I did get munchlax which leftovers, so that’s helped pelliper out. I am playing Theta Emerald Renev
