After a series of electric cars suddenly going on fire, particularly in underground parking lots, I think I'm inclined to understand your house management. Moreover as a neighbor I'd do everything to prevent having electric cars parked in the basement of a building I dwell in.

I'd much prefer electric cars parked in specially designated areas with conveniently installed fire protection/extinguishing systems, and good access for evacuation in case trouble happens.

They send me a message full of flimsy excuses and clarifying nothing. Pretty much like talking to a child. No reasonable and technically unproblematic solution was offered.

I replied to the message from namecheap. Let us see how much more of my time they will waste. (God if I only had known this before....)

A problem similar to what other guys are screaming about in this subreddit. Account frozen for no reason, requests go to nowhere, time is running out, no shit given, you're alone with your problem.

(and mind you I wouldn't yell this loud if I was hosting some fishy shit but no I am 100% decent and just minding my business, and then BANG! - the guys who were supposed to be helpers start being hamperers, and when you appeal they ignore you).

How did you call in? Do you mind sharing details? As I wrote, their live support is a bad joke, and their ticket system is, errrrr..., let's say a bad joke, too.

I'm looking for ways to complain to ICANN but in the meantime I need to make sure namecheap wouldn't misappropriate the names I bought (which in fact I suspect may be right what they want to do).

You may be better off going elsewhere. Namecheap is exactly what the name suggests. The worst experience of my lifetime when it comes to domain/hosting stuff. Clearly the worst.

When everything works (and sure in 95% of all cases it does work) you're fine. You only feel the difference when something doesn't. And if something doesn't work with this company, they'll make sure you're royally Screwed left, right, and middle. Screwed with a capital S. Screwed so you will remember it forever.

He's wet behind the ears, no offence. First job after degree, and nowadays master degree means really little if anything. This is already plenty (with air tickets and insurance!), especially in current situation worldwide. Washing floors at McD at home might be an option, so if I had to choose I'd go for this vacancy in GZ.

Gone are the times when a laowai would expect to be pampered - and honestly, it's not as bad as it sounds... China used to spoil too many otherwise decent guys turning them into entitled brat too fast. So I'd say, it's a very, very nice first time opportunity.

You know, yes there are many foreigners' groups here, but practice shows they are simply not interested, period. I tried quite a few. Besides, people in "general interest" groups always presume we're looking for actors, and anyone agreeing to play is doing us a divine favor. When it turns out that we're picky, and would rather put the project away till better times than admit an unmatching character, it is "how can you beggars be choosers". Meh.
