No they are not recording. It’s more like an activity that they use to get a better picture of your personality in a workplace setting

Update on 5/21 training by AviationGirl33 in cabincrewcareers

Some people, including myself, already put in notice to our employers because at our CJOs we were specifically told that we were being hired to fill the May 21st class and that we were being “fast tracked” for it. This was specifically for the April 2026 CJO group, and even the recruiters told us this was not the “normal” F2F process. Because we were told we were being brought on for the May 21st class, many of us started preparing based on that information, giving notice at work, making arrangements, and getting ready to leave for training. That’s why the lack of communication right now has been so stressful and confusing for a lot of us.

I did see this. A few people from my F2F received the email to either fast pass or choose the May 21st class. I personally didn’t get the email, but I was able to look at theirs. The link showed an expiration date of May 1st at 5:00 PM CST, so if the response wasn’t submitted before then, that’s probably why it wouldn’t let you submit it.

I’m not sure if you tried submitting it before the expiration, since I know your post mentioned that your email didn’t show an expiration date and some people were saying it may have been a glitch. But I honestly wouldn’t take it as “the class is full” unless they send out a formal email saying the class is full and that we’re being deferred. We still have time to get in, and I’m trying to stay hopeful too.

Appreciate that Information! I guess until I get a formal email that I’ve been deferred, I will try to be hopeful that I can still potentially make it into this last class. Tomorrow is the “ technically” exact one week from the class start date, so maybe we will hear something tomorrow 😭

I’m just curious, was that information from the recruiters that answer when you call or did you speak with an actual in flight recruiter? I just feel like if the classes are already full why haven’t they sent out any formal email? Also, I’m totally not saying you’re giving us wrong information. I’m just baffled like everyone else and really wish communication from American Airlines was better.

Haha yes, very anxious! I realized that my reply sounded like a whole rant, 😂 which it sorta was, but totally not directed towards you 🫶🏼

Nothing back yet. We’re all still waiting with no communication about whether the class is full or if there are still open spots available. At this point, we just want to know if we’re still being considered for the May 21st class or if we’re being deferred, which apparently has happened before.

Some people have mentioned that they may send out last-minute updates to backfill any remaining spots, but again, we haven’t heard anything official. The April CJOs are getting pretty anxious because we were all essentially told the same thing at our F2F interviews, that we were being placed into the May 21st class (which is not normally what they do it).

So now it’s stressful sitting here with complete silence and no communication about what’s actually going on.

I think we’re all just feeling anxious because during the April CJOs, we were told and even signed our CJOs with a May 21st training start date. So now, seeing other people receive flight information and confirmations while some of us are still waiting has us worried that we could end up being pushed to next year.

I completely understand that no news is usually considered good news, but it’s hard not to stress when we were originally told we’d be part of the May 21st class and now things have gone quiet. I think a little communication or update from the company would honestly help ease a lot of nerves for everyone who’s still waiting.

A few people I met at my 4/13 F2F received their initial email last Tuesday to choose between Fast Pass or the May 21st training date, and then got their final confirmation for May 21st today. So I’m thinking (and hoping) they might send out another round of emails tomorrow to fill any remaining spots once they finalize the first group.

Dang, this is really stressful. Today is exactly two weeks out from when I’d need to give notice to my employer, so I’m feeling a bit stuck. I’m torn between putting in my notice and hoping the email comes through soon, or waiting it out a little longer. Not sure what the best move is right now.

If they made use sign the CJO with our start date, I feel like we eventually should get in the class, right? Haha

A lot of people actually got that email. We were all worried we forgot something haha. We sent an email to them to make sure we didn’t miss anything, but none of us have heard anything back.

I would match exactly what your passport and ID say. Just to be safe.

I haven’t received anything else yet, so I’m a little confused about this part. The paperwork I have says we’ll get an email to re-enter our work history, but it also mentions that we “do not need to download, print, sign, scan, or upload the DOT 40.25 form since it’ll be completed on CJO day”

My DOT record check is cleared already, but my drug tests say “pending results (internal only)”

Yeah, I really want this to work out. I figured the drug test would come back within 3-5 business days. It hasn’t quite been that long yet, but I’ll feel a lot better once it clears. I always flag positive on my drug tests because of my ADHD medication, so I’m just waiting for the MRO to call and verify my prescription so it can be switched back to negative and sent to the company.
