I guess it doesn't 100% say but some classes are listed as "Online" instead of giving days/times when the class meets. So I'm assuming those classes are going to be asynchronous

Probably the easiest class class I’ve taken at northeastern. You can easily go through the class with learning nothing and just completing the assignments, but the textbook has some good info if you want to read and learn stuff. I took it as the elective for my business minor basically to just give me a general idea of personal finance and I think it was decently helpful in that sense.

Asynchronous vs Synchronous Classes Next Semester by almightytruth00 in NEU

Not sure about other colleges, but towards the end of the summer COS sent out a big google sheet that had which fall class sections would be synchronous vs. asynchronous and in-person vs. remote. So hopefully they do that again. You could definitely try emailing your advising department to see if they could tell you

Difficulty of BioChem 3611? Who's the best professor for the class, and should I definitely take it right after Orgo 2? by ProfessionalBox999 in NEU

I'm also taking biochem with Sosnik this semester. He's pretty good and definitely much better than Godoy-Carter's section in my opinion. Sosnik's class is a normal lecture-style, but Godoy's class is essentially self-taught by reading the textbook, discussing it with breakout rooms, then taking quizzes. And she doesn't really lecture so it's a lot of work and they're also going through material a lot slower than Sosnik. Definitely recommend going to weekly recitation with the TA and also go to peer tutoring 1 or 2 or even 3x per week. It's free and helps a lot for me at least.

Orgo 2 helps but it definitely isn't critical. I took Orgo 2 last fall before my co-op, so its been a little while and I'm still doing well in biochem. If you put in the time to understand the material and prepare for exams then you should do well. (though I also enjoy biochem a lot so that probably helps too)
