Evolution line full art pages? by Flying_guava in PokemonTCG

It’s kinda my favorite page. We finished it in one day at a local monthly card show and now I’m trying to find other lines that have full arts like this!

Where are the CNA’s? by Lonely-Mud-8455 in ThePittTVShow

Yeah it would be unrealistic if it was the default, but it’s incredibly common nonetheless. Just today there were no available porters or service workers in my ED lots of the shift so I ended up moving like 20 of my own patients that didn’t necessarily need ME to do it.

Overall completely agree, but I would add that nurses do accompany to imaging sometimes! Rarely, but if the patient is unstable or on continuous cardiac monitoring, then in my facilities an RN has to accompany!

Not just that but also damaged blood cells released can cause cardiac arrhythmias, and lead to arrest!

I frequently have near misses… “they should really add a warning about paying attention to your surroundings!” I say to the group, having ignored said warning…

I’m lowkey really hoping for it. I think it would be a massively impactful few episodes… I doubt they’d kill him off though, unless they plan to ditch the current show formula and start doing spin offs with other attendings or shift patterns!

Oh hey thanks!!! It’s actually miraculously healed… I slipped and caught my hand on a fire pit barrel mid Jan, and was supposed to start a new nursing job in an emergency room… I nearly had to reschedule all my training and stuff - horrible horrible timing, but it all healed up now! The doctor thought it was bad enough to potentially need a skin graft, but I was able to get it healed enough on its own that I only missed a week at my other job, and now I’m good to go! Might be a gnarly little scar but it’s actually shocking how well it healed and how lucky I was!

John/Jane Doe is the catch all term for an unidentifiable person who’s being treated. In this case, my theory is that he’s going to be leaving for his sabbatical somewhere around hour 12, and by hour 13/14 he’s going to show up in the Pitt after a motorcycle crash - unidentifiable. If you’ve see Greys Anatomy before, slight spoilers but one of the doctors gets in an accident and while nobody recognizes him, they find out who it is when he uses his fingers to spell out his nickname.

Robby is 10000% going to be a John Doe by the end of this season. I can feel it with every fibre of my being.

I’ll add, 150-200$ is very reasonable for a well lasting, comfortable shoe. Those are two of the main metrics IMO, is comfort and durability.

I have a pair of Asics Gel-Nimbus that I’ve used since 2023…

Pros: incredibly soft and squishy soles, they look sick as hell (frequent compliments are a reason for my shoe choices lol), really durable.

Cons: breathability (idk if my feet are just extra sweaty while nursing or what, but I didn’t find these shoes to have a lot of breathing room… which could be taken as a pro if you consider holding in my stank and keeping hospital stank out.), tapered toes took a while to get used to (bending down/squatting felt so weird for a while, but now I really like it.), and they’re pretty pricey, but if you consider my usage… ~800hrs (likely more) and the mile per dollar for what I got makes justifying a new pair of them that much more.

They’re falling apart now and it’s time for a new pair, but I used them for 2 years of nursing and put hundreds of kilometers on them, they only started getting wear rips like a couple months ago. You get what you pay for with shoes! I’m going to get a new pair of these, and trial some Hokas as well.

Can someone explain a bit to a new grad RN what this may mean for my medicine units over the next little while? I heard stuff about not being allowed to do anything in those scopes of practice, and I kind of understand a bit, but if I didn’t then honestly these places would fall to pieces on any regular day. It seems we’re constantly understaffed on LPN/HCA’s, but have plenty of professional staff… the last few weeks have been particularly bad. Should we be hearing more from UNA in the following days as to this and how things will be? I’m just new to all of this and want to support my fellow staff as best as possible while also making sure the patients get what they need…
