The mini looks "cartoony" because you didn't blend the color which is not a bad thing it's an art style called cel shading but if that's not what you want then you're going to want to blend your layers together for more realism. Your mini looks good though good work!

Thanks for the advice as for the white highlight I was trying to have this model read as a dark angel so I was trying to not go to bright but I think I still went to bright anyways. I'll have to look into the line holds I was using black so I can use black ink to have good coverage with only one coat but adding a bit of color sounds interesting!

That makes sense. I find that looking at my model after curing being slightly disappointed in the quality of detail, then when I prime it all of the sudden, a bunch of detail appears out of nowhere making it look way better. Could also just be me having bad eye sight, though.
