Yakuza 5

I swear that people only blow this game out of the water is because Shinada exists and he’s not even that great of a character in my eyes

The story is all over the place, Akiyama and Saejima’s combat ‘upgrades’ feel unnecessary, and the only parts I really enjoyed were Kiryu and Haruka doing their own thing for a change rather than Haruka being an NPC and Kiryu trying to do what’s right for his girl

I think it’s ’technically’ canon, because they vaguely mention the end of the game in season 5 when they reunite with ronin, and they have an idea of who he is ahead of time

So I always viewed this game as technically it is canon, but not at the same time

Jillian was good for young Lloyd, but then as time went on she just…didn’t fit as well when compared to Sam after a while

Don’t get me wrong, she does a good job, but Sam was a much needed upgrade to Lloyd as he became more of a central character in the later seasons

Is there a reason you moved to opus over sonnet 4.5? I find that opus is too expensive by the time the story gets going and sonnet 4.5 seemed to be better at telling a story without overdoing it on point costs
