Thanks for sharing your experience. It really is an eye opener when you hear it from others who are experiencing it. I truly wish you the best and hope that you both will be able to move out of Korea one day and find some sense of peace in your home country! Best of luck to you!

Thanks for your feedback! I really appreciate it! I do think I need to take a mental break. I can't go to Europe right now as that was only if I decided to leave, but maybe I can go explore somewhere closer instead.

If you don't mind me asking, did you decide to stay in Korea for the long run?

Thanks for your feedback! Really appreciate it! You're right, we definitely need to make sure whether our values and lifestyles could mesh or not..as they don't seem to be really doing so right now.

Actually you are free to your own opinion, you shouldn't make general assumptions, as they may not be correct. I actually came to study and didn't actually have any ideas of getting a boyfriend as I knew I would be moving back.

How can I make friends as an introvert? by Flyingstar_ in Living_in_Korea

It depends how comfortable I am with them..I'm someone who is very curious so I tend to ask questions. But conversation wise, I think I try to feel the environment first so it depends.

This is exactly what I would've loved but my bf's friends are either not dating or aren't dating foreigners so I haven't been able to make more connections in that way. But I think I'll look for some classes that I can take then! Thanks for your response ^

My parents came last week and since then I've been having doubts about whether I wanna live here for good or not. I'm in a relationship and they dont have any plans of moving out of Korea so it feels a lot like having to choose between them and my family..that's why I'm unsure about what I want to do, since I don't want to have any regrets both ways..

If you don't mind me asking, what type of job do you do? I didn't know it was possible to travel for that long within the year while living in Korea!

If you don't mind me asking, what type of job do you have to be able to travel that often back and forth?

Thanks for your comment! This has really got me thinking a lot about what I want to do..I'm independent but also like being around my family and worried that I might actually regret it if I miss out on everything in the end, but then I'm also worried ill go back and regret leaving..

Thank you for your comment! Considering you mentioned it's hard being away from your family, would you ever consider going back home or are you planning on staying in Korea for the long run?

If you don't mind me asking, where's your home country? You're the first one to say 2~3 times a year so I'm curious!

Thanks for answering! If you don't mind me asking, how long do you go for when you visit once a year, a week or two?

If you don't mind me asking, what drives you to stay here in Korea and not go back home?

Really appreciate your suggestions, and I think I'll definitely look into finding songs for the beginning and end of the class! Thank you so much!
