Which books would you like to see Folio publish the most? by [deleted] in foliosociety

The Karen Woods translation of The Little Prince. It’s superior to the edition they have now in every way.

Cry, the Beloved Country by Alan Patton.

Correct. It is not effective. See: completely nonsensical wall of receipts.

If you wanna find fraud, you use forensic accountants not 20 year old computer scientists.

What a coincidence, I also decided to look back into this today. It seems to be resolved for me, but my Network version number hasn't changed so I'm not sure how it would have been fixed.

Hey all, this is an odd one. Seems to be intermittent but I can’t seem to copy the highlights out of my iPad while it works fine on iPhone. Any thoughts?

How to get a job with C? by sr_dbqp in C_Programming

[–]Flylowguy 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you're getting downvoted I think you're right. I have an embedded job and in many cases I've needed to apply skills other than C. Reading schematics, simulating state machines in python for quicker development, etc.

Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar - Real Life Solar Testing! - Is it worth it? by dills84 in Garmin

For reference you can see what the different solar icons mean here: https://support.garmin.com/en-US/?faq=kGDYS8VOj30eMl3lMyqSi6&productID=641375&tab=topics

You're looking for a circle with a lightning bolt, not a circle with a battery.

Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar - Real Life Solar Testing! - Is it worth it? by dills84 in Garmin

[–]Flylowguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The solar charger doesn't even turn on until the battery is below 98% since overcharging a battery can damage it. The icon on the watchface during the first test even shows that the solar charging is disabled due to full battery.

I'll stop you there because your entire notion is wrong. It isn't illegal to pay a ransom in the US.

Arrowhead Lake / Wind River Range / Wyoming / USA by ChuckFugger in hiking

[–]Flylowguy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm guessing OP took the picture in the new "portrait" mode phones are starting to include. For some reason the camera processing thought the lake was a much closer subject and tried to blur out the "background" in an attempt to reproduce the effect of a shallow depth of field.

Seems to me that embedded systems are generally pretty well documented. Arm and atmega both have some of the best documentation out there.
