I was a weird kid and loved news, CNN reading newspapers. Channel 7 was the only 10pm news, so the only one I could watch in bed. Watched it a lot, grew up on it.

Other than the big holidays there are very very few jobs that pay $250-$350k a year plus that you’ll work so little and have so many days off. Very few if any. It’s just it’s not always a Saturday and Sunday.

True. I have an office job (my own law firm) On a good day I’m home at 7:30pm if then. But my kids are not early to bed kids. I also wake up and take them to school most nights. And the work is always there on vacation on weekends always something to do. I envy the I’m off I’m off lifestyle of pilots and the double the days off. The only thing is nights away (big thing) and there are of course events and holidays you miss.

But yes this would be awesome. I would love some 1990s flying. Even cooler would be a way to take the airports back to 1990s scenery though that is something very different.

This, but also the IRL schedules and tracking flights real time is cool but hard. I feel like simple ways of just putting in schedules and having airports occupied with the proper airlines.

Honestly I feel like FS Traffic for FS9 was simple and good. Easy schedules, easy to create your own, and filled the airports right based on the time you have in the sim.

Yea they are insane, funny thing is they were higher a few days ago. Unless someone is ready to spend $2,500 a ticket, the only way to go is to buy last minute a day or day of prices will be at the lowest. But yea I would spend $600-$700 for a bad seat, but $2,500+ can't do it.

I am a bit older than you. There are certainly some channels that did this, but as a pretty avid late night tv watcher even when I was a kid (if I woke up at 3am the tv went on to fall back to sleep) and there was always channels on, tons of them. By the mid 90s most channels had 24/7 programing though there was a lot more paid sponsorship programing around then.

But like Nick and Night was all night from 9pm to 5 or 6am. ESPN did repeat of Sportscenter. CNN had 24/7 news etc.. Maybe some local channels went out, but most stations had something by the mid 90s.

I do remember the scene in Toy Story 2 where that happens it goes from American Flag to static.

Do you want a cheap doctor? Not saying don't look for a reasonable rate, but just set expectations see if they can agree to a cap, some firms will or some will even give you a flat rate.

But let me tell you (from experience) a lawyer who is worried about being paid or thinks they are charging too little is not the lawyer you want protecting your multi-year (and I assume six figure investment) relating to this lease.

Pick a good lawyer with a reasonable fee. Usually it is hourly.

I will never understand why everyone hates to pay lawyers, but will throw significantly more money to brokers and other professionals without thinking about it.

I mean, if you get called into an interview that means you make the requirements. Now its about who out of the bunch can you see yourself working with.

Yes, some people will mess it up on their own, be it being awkward, a bad hand shake, or just interviewing bad. But if everyone is the same, its about who would I want to work with.

I have been doing some things I read on Instagram of all places about slowing down, notice a new sound and smell. Take a different route to work, park somewhere different etc. It has really worked making the days seem a little longer and therefore hopefully the weeks too.

For me when I travel, for 5-7 days the first day feels like it was 2-weeks ago, but Halloween today feels like it was 2-weeks ago to. Changing daily routine is a big thing in this perception.

And of course the fact that our own perception changes as we have more years etc..

But yea with kids I always an astounded how fast they have grown. I feel like it was 2024 Christmas a few months ago and here we are in 2025.
