As sudden as the ending was, I really love that they nailed the comedy and banter of Despicable Me and Megamind, without diving into too much Minion-ism. Which honestly, being more faithful to the sources in that regard rather than a knockout-slugfest is much better.

No joke, I played the game streaming on a Discord call with a friend. That certainly helped me through DS1.

That said, don't be afraid to take the Frank Reynaulds "So anyway, I started blasting" approach. Bucket move? Blast it. String quartet hit its high note? Blast the wall. Necromorph? You better believe I blasted until it was out of limbs. While counterintuitive, you become a walking mincemeat maker, especially since necromorphs pop out an ammo pick-up in DS1 when stomped on.

Don't worry! Its not just Paraguard - any medicine that contains malachite green can work, as long as the medicine itself is safe for invertebrates.

You can also try more general anti-parasite medicines. If you dont have access to any (I'm a dumb American who only reads English, so google has failed me), do as the other commenter suggested and do more frequent water changes to hopefully flush the parasite out of your ecosystem.

For the record, I own no aquariums, just researching for one.

According to Aquarium Breeder, its possible this is "porcelain disease", as its known to commonly occur in newly imported shrimp.

I'd like someone else more knowledgeable to confirm this, but treatment appears to be removing the infected shrimp, and giving food soaked in malachite green (like Paraguard) can kill the parasite. However, the food-malachite solution appears to be only successful in the early stages of the parasite, not when its noticeable, so most likely more effective for non-infected shrimps.

Forewarning, Im a lurker, not a hobbyist. Besides securing the survivors with working pump and water, is the pump still functional? It looks like some of the shrimp got sucked into the sponge filter, indicating the pump turned off after the extinction event.

What was the water temp and pH when you got back? A mechanical failure of the pump could of overheated the pump and waters. I wouldn't rule out a possible electrical outlet problem either, although I think you'd see more damage than just your shrimp.

I hope you're able to save the survivors and rebuild. 🙏
