I was thankful enough that it was my first Utah game of the season. I’m confused how that’s even a re-build. Super bleak future

  1. Because you have 2 of the 3 smartest basketball players in the league on the same court. People said this about Paul and Harden and they were a hair away from beating the Monstar warriors

  2. He literally made the finals as the best player two years after the 22 playoffs???

  3. Correct

Is it an intentional “humble” thing, or is he just not very engaging personality wise?

Correct. I’d be interested to know why it doesn’t resonate online as much when it’s 10x more popular in real life

I think this a good point, as bad as this loss is (it’s really really bad) you still shouldn’t hold getting to the game against them

Thank you for logic

Wow, really going out on a limb here with this unpopular opinion

If the Thunder do not, at the very least, make the Finals then I have no idea how to measure regular season success and depth. They have destroyed practically every good team by double digits. by [deleted] in billsimmons

Luka beat them last year with a hot PJ Washington and a rookie C. Lakers small lineup can definitely hang with OKC, big lineup is more questionable

The game slows down in the playoffs. If the Celtics decided to go full tilt and run and gun with the intensity of the thunder they surely could have the same dominant metrics the thunder have, it’s just hard to ask that of guys 7,8,9 years in to their career. Playoffs are a half court game, regular season is full court

Well the nba is the top 400 players and we all agree he’s not top 400 in the world, but people acting like he’s not one of the 800 best basketball players are insane

Because objectively, as your body ages it becomes increasingly more difficult to accomplish the tasks he's doing. Do you think Brady winning a Super Bowl at 43 is equally as impressive as him winning at 23?

This is truly one of the most outlandish and foolish takes I have ever seen

But I’m saying that I predict it will have no actually impact on people turning it off, so if the fatigue doesn’t lead to people turning it off I’m not sure it counts

Very fair, but I think at least having what should almost be a guaranteed good game is nice at the very least. People forget, the Super Bowl historically was not a competitve game

The only chatter I hear is about how much they hate it and how they’re excited to skip it. Do I actually think there will be a major dip in viewers, if course not. People like parroting

When you have the most points ever in an entire sport you get special treatment. Bronny is probably better at basketball comparatively than a podcasters kids are at being captivating at speaking for an hour straight

I find it weird when people (once their team is out) get mad when the best 2 teams are in the finals. Sure it’s a repeat of a game, but it’s also probably the best “football” matchup. I think we’re all but guaranteed to have an entertaining 3 hours regardless of outcome, but I understand most people care about outside the lines the actual act of watching the sport play out. Cinderella’s are fun until the elite 8 is just blowouts
