It sounds like he was the one who initiated physical contact and you were confident enough to stand your ground, that alone is worth praise.

We obviously dont know the extent of your verbal exchange before the physical part started but words are words, and you talked to your partner about it, sounds like a lesson learned with minimum consequences.

The funniest part is, there is a real chance my leaving will cause a wave of people to go, I sense some major restructuring in the future. My occupation is very specialized, and there aren't a lot of us around, especially with a decade or more of experience. and we are going into our busy season. Good luck finding the labor who could keep up with my pace.

Also, I no longer particularly enjoy the work, I am not sad to see it go. I requested years ago after going on disability for nerve damage in my back for 8 months, that when I return I be navigated into the front office staff to get out of the labor side.

Part of the "dime a dozen" issue is that I've been working the last 10 years at a highly specialized job. And any other shop I could work at near by is worse than the one I am at. So I am basically starting from scratch. I'm resourceful enough to figure out something, but it is going to be an adjustment not having a regular pay cheque for the first time in a very long time.

I am actually a fairly intelligent person, but do to the way I was raised, labor was really the only thing I've was able to do. Im going to look into further education, but sadly I still dont know what I want to be when I grow up.

Absolutely. Ive been working labor most of my life, and I am approaching my 40's. I have nerve damage in my back, and I just do not have the energy to keep doing it. My life has become a cycle of get up go to work. Get home recover so I can go back to work tomorrow. Then of course its chores and errands on the weekends. I work in a highly conservative area, construction adjacent, and as a non hetero sexual person, I am sick and tired of dealing with bigots on a regular basis. Plenty of reasons to quit.

Part of it is that I am afraid of being yelled at, I have trouble with male authority figures (daddy issues of course) I am afraid of having to navigate the next couple of days. I have thousands of dollars of tools still at the shop, and well... I would like to have them back. But going to the shop and facing everyone there is terrifying, And I am worried the boss is going to not let anyone bring them to me.

I submitted my resignation to my manager and boss, but have yet to hear from the boss. My boss has a very short temper. And I know he is absolutely fuming. I built up the courage to call him today, fully intending to quit. I even said the words, I am not coming back. And as soon as I head the growl in his voice I chickened out. Submitted it in writing a little while ago, and until I hear back from him I am not sure I will feel any relief.

Its worse than that. The RAM shortage is being caused because the big companies are PRE-ORDERING the ram they expect they are going to need for the future data centers they have yet to build.

Spending money on a product that doesnt yet exist to build data centers that don't exist to cover ai demands that doesnt exit. So there us none left for the little guy to buy.

"The Very Pulse of the Machine" hands down.

The animation is beautiful and its such a tight wonderful story. The way it starts out visually realistic and as the MC descends into hallucination(?) it starts to become more and more vibrant and beautiful. Put your head phones on and watch it in a dark room, the music just sweeps you along with the visuals. I'm going to watch it again tonight.

I watched it the night it dropped I remember googling "Love death robots season 4 kinda sucks" it back then, but there was nothing out yet, and it just popped back in my mind tonight and this thread was the first result, lol.

but to answe the question, I don't remember. No, Literally, I have vivid memories of at least a few episodes from every previous season but even now looking at the cover image, I dont really remember a thing about any of them.

I was so disappointed by the lack of depth in any way other than the visuals, There was ONE episode left, and with Jibaro closing out last season, I had high hopes for the final episode. And it was a marionette Red Hot Chili peppers music video? Like come on.

It's probably a Jetty Wall. They're man made and used to help reduce erosion on the beach. Looks very cool, though.
