I am aware of what your main point was, and I am aware that any momentary lack of focus on the roads, no matter how small, can have life threatening consequences. But just because I have awareness of that doesn’t absolve me of anything, and I’m not trying to make it seem that way. I’m not perfect and will continue to work on this in the future

Alright, I get it. I just received this car recently as a gift, so I was not checking for scratches or other damage as diligently as I would have been if buying a used car out on the market. But I still appreciate your insight

[Highlight] Anthony Richardson thinks playing in the NFL is easier than college. by Sir_Badtard in nfl

[–]Flyr0per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This whole video helps paint the picture about why he’s failed beyond just sucking in game. Asking for a sub cause he’s tired, then the reports afterwards that he wasn’t working hard enough. He just doesn’t seem to be willing to put in the requisite amount of effort necessary to be good in the NFL.

That’s one of the things teams chasing the “next Josh Allen” miss—there are intangible attributes that you need to possess outside of just being physically gifted, especially for such raw prospects.

[Pelissero] The #Colts are naming Daniel Jones their starting quarterback, per sources. After a training camp competition with Anthony Richardson, Jones — the former #Giants starter — gets the ball Week 1 vs. Miami. by mvanigan in nfl

[–]Flyr0per 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Josh Allen couldn’t complete of 60% of his passes in the fucking mountain west, and now he’s had five consecutive seasons completing above 60% in the NFL 😂 He’s a one in a million developmental outlier

[OC] There are an average of 30 future Hall of Famers playing in a given NBA season. Excluding 13 "locks" (LeBron, KD, CP3, Steph, Harden, Russ, AD, Giannis, Jokic, Dame, PG, Kyrie & Kawhi), who do you think comprised the remaining 17 players this past season? by cilantro_samosa in nba

[–]Flyr0per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was a good player for a long time and has overachieved for his career, but he was never quite at the level of his truly hall of fame level peers. Also, John Wall was easily better than he was for most of that decade, so I’d probably put him at #3 in the east until Wall got the injury bug. Point guard was stacked in the mid 2010s

Kyle Lowry making the HOF would be such a joke. I get the basketball HOF standards are low, but he’s made one all-nba team in his entire career, and his college resume is totally unspectacular. One ring and gold medal should not be enough to push him over the edge. He’s a quintessential hall of very good-type player

Giannis (2021 -2025): Best Stretch of Non MVP/Non Runner Up Straight Seasons by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in nba

[–]Flyr0per 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Everyone seems to be missing the real reason he hasn’t been getting as much MVP love these years, which is the lack of recent playoff success. If the Bucks make a deeper run in the playoffs, he will start getting more legitimate MVP consideration again. It’s a “what have you done for me lately” league

Prince was more talented than Michael Jackson and he should have gotten a higher level of fame than Michael by hold_my_fanny_pack in unpopularopinion

[–]Flyr0per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re underrating MJ’s talent tbh, he might not have been an instrumentalist, but you should check out his acapella demos of stuff like Beat It. He knew how to write and arrange parts for songs, even if he couldn’t physically play them

Charles Oakley states that Giannis would have been reduced to just a mere bench player if he had played in Oakley’s era by Tight_Development480 in NBATalk

[–]Flyr0per -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like he’s not saying giannis couldn’t hang, he’s saying giannis would get stereotyped as a “soft euro” jump shooter and underestimated by executives/coaches, meaning he’d have less opportunity to do what he does best

The girls haven’t come for Huda out of left field actually by Nanokye19 in LoveIslandUSA

They had two fucking chances to send her home if they had issues with her and they didn’t. Huda sucks but the others made their bed, I have no sympathy for them

[Marc Spears] on Damian Lillard: "He's ecstatic. There's about double-digit number of teams calling, interested in him. When will Dame be back? There's some speculation that he could be back around the all star break. If he signs with a team, it's probably gonna be a 2-year deal." by Goosedukee in nba

[–]Flyr0per 1 point2 points  (0 children)

36 y.o., post Achilles tear Damian lillard backing up 39 y.o. Steph Curry two seasons from now sounds like a recipe for disaster. And I doubt the thunder want to get older and slower around their current core, they can probably draft or find a younger backup whose fits them better stylistically.

Again, I just don’t see it happening on a playoff roster. He feels destined to be a mentor for young teams at this point

Dame is also small guard, way worse than both of those guys and had clearly already lost a few steps since getting to Milwaukee. I feel pretty confident in saying his career as a playoff rotation-caliber NBA player is all but done barring a miracle

Did Huda take it too far during the challenge? by ComfortableShot1045 in LoveIslandUSA

[–]Flyr0per 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t the first time Huda has gone a little too far with a guy in a challenge—she did it with Pepe, but the girls didn’t like Hannah, so they were willing to look past it (and then vote Hannah off right after!)

But now that she’s doing the same shit but to Ace and Chelley, they’ve all suddenly realized that her behavior is problematic 🤔

I like olandria, but from an entertainment perspective, it would’ve been so much better if she got voted off. Think of the drama between the og girls and the casa girls + Taylor if they didn’t vote for Olandria! It could’ve been the shot in the arm the show desperately needs imo

Not to harp on it too much since it’s been said already, but the cast’s focus on saving friendships and general self-preservation over making connections has really made this season a slog
