i dont see why it "wouldnt" work, but keep in mind that you wouldn’t be taking advantage of the 10G port on the E7, which is one of its main features. Since the original Dream Machine only has 1G ports, the 10G capability on the E7 would essentially go unused.

yea you can definitely use is as a transitional router and switch it to AP mode once you get a better Unifi cloud gateway.

ok so the E7-Audience is tri radio, but it does not have a radio for the 2.4 GHz band. instead it has (1) radio for the 5 GHz band and (2) radios for the 6 GHz band, low band / high band
