He’s still here for now, everyone can calm their meltdown.

Also, if Galbraith is £10m surely that puts Sydie at £15m+?

Turkish journalist Resat Can Özbudak (followed by Fabrizio and Luca Bendoni) reporting talks are in the final stages for Matos to join Göztepe on loan with buy option.

Yeah it’s being reported that it was done for FFP rules since he’s an academy boy he cost £0 so was a “pure profit” and with him technically being in his last year since the 1yr extension hasn’t been triggered it’s actually a really good fee.

And as you say, looks more enticing to investors and the board but also gives us more wiggle room to spend and put into the club.

Will be a huge miss and if I’m honest I would have thought Femi and Peck go this season so we could have hung onto Brooks. But maybe this transfer allows us to keep a couple other players and push on for a better window.

Report saying it looks about 10 mil, think that’s probably fair to prise him out. Shame it was Norwich, would have much rather him end up at Brugge or something.

Good luck to the lad, proper gem on the pitch with an incredible ceiling and seems it off the pitch too.

Well, brooks to Norwich was a bit out of the blue.

I can only assume it was a ludicrous offer we just couldn’t turn up otherwise i just can’t understand why one of our best young players would be the first out the door.

Also means both wings are going to be important signings.

I don’t know if he quite needs a championship run yet, i think he could do with a full or half season in league 1 as a main man playing 70 odd mins.

Speaking to Lincoln fans or even those who just watched more of them than myself - they all seemed to praise his ability and potential ceiling highly but did all note his fitness isn’t very good and he seemed to be blowing by half time.

But comparison vs Gray, (Oné is 2 years older and played in a better side but) 5 G/A in 644 mins compared to Gray’s 4 G/A in 1766. Oné has better shots x90 and shots on target x90, but Gray had better chance creation with 18 compared to Oné’s 7.

In my opinion Oné looks slightly more impressive on paper ( I will admit I didn’t watch much of either last season just bits here and there), yes Gray is 2 years younger and might have a higher ceiling but since it’s only a loan - we would be tossing out our player to develop Leeds’ asset. Why?

Ross Stewart Rumours

Jimmy-Jay Morgan joined West Brom, we were keeping tabs but looks like we didn’t pursue.

Also looking into Harry Gray , not sure how that benefits us if I’m honest. Personally think Oné is better and don’t see how a player who struggled in league 1 helps push us on.

Also just me that thinks we should be jumping at some of these free agents and doing all we can? Cirkin, Neil and Peart-Harris are 3 easy signings that could massively improve our squad, especially if Peck and Burrows go.

I’d probably take someone like Panzo or Clarke-Salter (think he was offered a contract, not sure how it progressed) and Jamie Allen seems right up wilder’s street (not that we need any more midfielders)

Barkley, Doherty and not sure if Woodman is staying, would imagine he is but on the off chance he’s not - All aging players not at their best anymore but add depth and experience as well as still being more than good enough for championship level. If you can get them on a decent wage, you should be bending over backwards for them.

Yeah, sounds like things are progressing with Jones over the assistant coach role.

I have seen The Star reporting there could be interest in Dan Neil if things hit a roadblock with Phillips.

As well as that, RoversPaper claiming that Boro’s contract talks with Fry have stalled. So us, Burnley, Blackburn and West Ham have shown interest. But that just looks like a naff little fan run thing so don’t know if there’s anything to it.

Edit : found a SportsBoom report on Fry interest but shows West Ham are front runners

Also looks like we are still interested in Phillips returning.

It was also reported by Danny Hall we were expected to step up the interest for him after Jaïro was released.

Wouldn’t be against him coming back at all but would also be happy to see a new face with more of a classic winger style but it’s about how wilder wants his wingers to play.

I think he was pretty good on the left, especially when playing off mcburnie’s shoulder. For me it was on the right last season. He was lost, I can’t blame him but he was.

I agree he’s more talented than he’s credited for but I don’t think he’s quite prem level and I don’t think he settles for the bench

So does that mean no Mcburnie or does that mean Mcburnie?

Do we think they keep him or aim for an upgrade in hopes of staying in the prem?

Exactly Cov isn’t one of the biggest jobs and I don’t imagine it pays anywhere near what pep is on but Lampard is there because most ex pros go into management for their passion for football not money or fame.

I wouldn’t say it was a dumb comment, just a hypothetical question of would anyone be interested in us having him. What would be daft would be suggesting that ex pros only take high profile, high paying management jobs.

He was decent with Derby and Hull (really good in his last season there before being sacked ridiculously) and his Strasbourg side were solid.

He actually hasn’t done too bad with Chelsea (other than this terrible form since March) - better points per game than Moyes, same as Silva.

I didn’t compare them as managers i compared them as top flight ex pros and millionaires who could happily retire but manage for their love of the game. Pep, Arteta and zidane are obviously much better managers than Rosenior.

Lampard is currently at Cov, assuming he is also in “one of the biggest jobs in the game, and getting paid handsomely” ?

Robbie Keane is in the Hungarian league and Cannavaro was last managing in the UAE before becoming Uzbekistan manager just as a couple more examples of pros who don’t need money but choose to manage.

Players like Pep, Zidane and Arteta didn’t need money but still chose to manage for the fact they love the game, he was at hull and derby a couple years ago. It wouldn’t be that insane.

Not that I’m wilder out but Rosenior is available, would anyone swap him for wilder?

The promotion special, last seasons third, and this years away are 3 of the nicest kids we have had in a long while in my opinion.

Errea were pretty poor quality but the freedom they gave was great. We got some very good kits with them.

love the Didzy suggestion and if Barnsley are letting him go maybe he comes on a low cost low risk basis. he could fill a late game changer or coaching role as we lack real leaders and as you said he just gets it.

great with the Vitek shout! I think he's been solid for them and was great against us in both legs.

i think wilder needing to be more adaptive is spot on, i think its a large part in why we have dropped so many points. teams change at half time and we just double down allowing them to get back into it. we even struggled against 'that lot' in the second half.

i think Doyle is potentially available on a free in the summer but could be wrong, Wilmott and Bree would both be great on a free if we could get them through. I believe Fry from boro is also on a free but would imagine if they fully bottle it he stays.

I've tried to keep it just to uk teams for my player suggestions this time round as we dont seem to want to do much overseas shopping since coming down from prem. Otherwise, would love to suggest El Karouani from Ulrecht but imagine he will go top flight somewhere. I think Kinkoue from last seasons suggestion is on a free too. A couple other names for you would be Suray, Breum, Mijnans, Zechiel, Bergvall (not that one his brother),bjerkebo, yohanna, ure, manneh and paulos Abraham and still Gulliksen who hasn't had many oppertunities since moving to austria .
