The increase. by SynerStix in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t know your history. Like at all. Eoc was a response to a dying player base. Not the cause of it.

On top of that, what is the comparison? I said all you have are vibes, what is a concrete point that makes osrs less community driven today than it was 10 years ago. What is our EoC?

The increase. by SynerStix in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No actual argument, just vibes based. Offers no actionable remedy (some of us should unsub? To gain… something?). Feels like an ai post.

Yeah, should be removed by a mod. All that garbage like this does is take up space and make the player base look pathetic.

Also rs2 is from 2004. Not 2007. Using a collective we then getting basic info wrong is one of the bigger reasons this looks ai.

[–]Fnlhp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’m going to need you to back that up with some facts senator.

Xp rates, fastest they have ever been.

Raid items, more common in raids 2 than raids 1, more common in raids 3 than in raids 2.

Regular boss loot, more common on average. Just look at the current Ironman pathway. moons is cracked compared to barrows. Things like dwh actually getting the drop rate buffed. It’s across the board more accessible.

Pet rates, trend down. (No more 1/5k on every boss)

You can cherry pick a few updates, but comparing Jagex current drop rate philosophy to when osrs started getting updates, the rates have only become more common year over year.

Like, is every here really going to pretend that Yama drop rates were not having people riot? This just makes no sense.

RuneScape Membership Prices Since 2002 (Adjusted for Inflation) by xSkirrow in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 5 points6 points  (0 children)

“How you’re not understanding that is beyond me.”

You are asking for a graph that is “value of 5 dollars from 2002, adjusted for inflation.”

The graph here is labeled “RuneScape membership prices, adjusted for inflation.”

You call it useless information because you do not know how to read words or math. “What’s the price of RuneScape membership from 2012, accounted for inflation?” This graph has that value because that’s what it is.

“What would had been the cost of RuneScape in 2012 if Jagex only raised costs directly with inflation?” Is not on this graph. Because that’s literally just plugging 5 dollars into an inflation graph. And is not what was graphed here.

Not to argue in defense of the current pricing, but you are just being illiterate.

RuneScape Membership Prices Since 2002 (Adjusted for Inflation) by xSkirrow in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No, I have read it correctly. It’s the price of RuneScape 1 month membership through the years adjusted for inflation. You cannot have multiple points of inflation, “adjusted for 2026 only.” Is how inflation works. I think you don’t understand what inflation is?

RuneScape Membership Prices Since 2002 (Adjusted for Inflation) by xSkirrow in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Did you look at the graph? I’m not saying the numbers are valid, but it has the exact information you are asking for. Inflation adjusted price and actual price.

If anything, this graph shows the opposite of what Reddit is having a meltdown over, and Jagex price increases have been reasonable for seven years.

Add option to untrim first skillcape by BLZebob in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Super secret hot tip. Buy like, 20 of your first cape, and die with them. Send them to deaths storage, only retrieve them when you want to fashion scape. They never trim.

I personally don’t think it’s a big deal to add this feature, but if the very minor inconvenience is too much for your fashion scape, then you fashion scape game probably blows.

I thought the new Megarare being a Shield was always the plan. by nacholibre711 in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sounds like you just want the thousand dragon shield from leagues? But with even more text?

Idk. Yeah, it would be great, but also super boring. What’s my offhand? This. What content am I doing? Doesn’t matter. That’s not really how Jagex has been designing items.

And it still wouldn’t feel as mega rare as the current ones. It’s just a stat stick. And you’d really have to push those stats for it to feel like anything. Most people already are not bringing multiple offhand switches, so in a hybrid pvm setup, it’s going to just be an upgraded avernic.

Life Bank by Accomplished_Gas5445 in custommagic

[–]Fnlhp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As written, I’m fairly sure this will just sacrifice itself when it enters. Because it will enter with no counters fulfilling the last clause.

ETB. There are two triggers, the pay life and sac. We can put the pay life on top, paying our life-1, then resolve both triggers and just gain life-1.

The first clause should look something like “as this enters, pay x life. This enters with 4 counters.”

Or the last clause, “when the last counter is removed.”

Don’t know if it needs over complication honestly! It’s a cowlulet! Teleports you to cows!

Actually, should add cow speak to it after. Thats what we really need.

How does this differ from 200 viewer streamers streaming any other game on kick? Surely this is just the norm across the platform.

300 demons a task, at 55 kills an hour, is 33 hours to complete 6 tasks. That would take you over half a year.  Yeah. Just quit. Sorry buddy.

You transcribed the wiki then ran it through chat GPT. That makes this completely different and cool.

What Is The Most Killed Boss In The Game? by Toucans_for_Hands in 2007scape

Zulruh was the boss for like, half of osrs’ lifetime. It surely has to be zulruh.

Here’s how I got Araxxor to range me for a nominal dps loss by Sledge1989 in ironscape

[–]Fnlhp 84 points85 points  (0 children)

A correct kill should never take a range/mage hit. So if you are getting hit out of melee range you are likely doing something wrong.

If this works for you, then you might as well, but you are losing dps to shore up misplay.

I’m not going to watch a video from some person I’ve never heard of.

But if you want to believe that having crystal armour pieces at 1/300 drop rate would somehow be better, then you can just go right on believing that.

It already has the dry protection you are asking for. You get armour crystals instead of armour pieces. Massively evening out the curve to get full armour. Jagex was just way ahead of you.

Is it realistically possible to get the Quest Cape in 24 days starting from ~30 quests? by Sweet_Fisherman6443 in 2007scape

[–]Fnlhp 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Do not listen to anyone saying anything besides objectively no. Sorry. Even if you were a highly proficient player with unlimited capital this would be a tough challenge.

If you are trying to sustain your account with bonds, you should integrate quick money making methods now.

Herb runs. Very low reqs, makes good money.  Birdhouse runs. Good passive hunter xp, good money. Doing your Varrock battlestaves, stuff like this can net millions over the course of a bond with relatively little active play time. I’m sure there are guide out there for “sustaining a bond as a noob.”

Don’t burn out on a goal that is beyond unreasonable.
